Asus ROG Ally X to bring a pricey 1 TB version
Asus will release the new ROG Ally X handheld console on June 2. The device will be a refresh of the first ROG Ally, with improved battery life and likely a new USB-C port. The latest info from X leakster @MysteryLupin revealed it might also bring a variant with 1 TB storage.
More memory for games means a higher price, and the tipster claims the 1TB Asus ROG Ally X will cost $799 – over 10% more than the current top-tier ROG Ally version with the Ryzen Z1 Extreme chip.
The new device is expected to have 16 GB RAM and a more common M.2 2280 memory slot for easier upgradeability. However, it should keep the 7” LCD with 120 Hz refresh rate and 1080p resolution. Also, the Ally X will be sold in Black, unlike the first Ally, which is only available in White.

I have the normal rog carry case its only really good as a dust cover, it provides no protection at all. Ordered the dband killswitch, with the screen cover it should be safe in my bag.

Asus are a bag of dicks when it comes to customer support. I have a Asus laptop and wanted to upgrade my ram. I was told if anyone opens the system up, it doesn't matter if it was a tech at our work or anyone outside of Asus themselves I will lose all Warranty. This is a couple of years ago never trusted the brand again.
How does the Lenovo Legion Go compare to the Asus Rog Ally?

More ram might make a difference, but if you take the current special price of the ally at incredible at 12K, you can probably buy a 100wh ugreen battery pack and still save the difference between what they are going to charge for the new x version. I was hair trigger from purchasing one until I saw a MS Surface Go2 laptop going for 58% off on TA. Can't really game on it but it being 1.2kg , 2:3 aspect ratio and getting a premium laptop for under R8K it was a no brainer.
Used Amazon so a import.

Has anyone here had any luck with getting forza motorsport running on the ally? Recently installed it and it keeps on crashing after the initial test drive. Anyone else had these issues?

First attempt opening the game after download, crash.
2nd attempt it was initializing shaders and played the first race halfway, crash.
3rd attempt the first race starts then instant crash.
