Asus Rog Ally

I've had the graphics driver crash on me when using Netflix with edge a few times. Once required a hard reboot and device manager moaned drivers could not be loaded. It's never happened while playing a game though, so between windvine, edge, windows and the Ally, something isn't happy. Luckily i didn't get it to watch Netflix lol

Yeah my asus seems to fix that from what I can see as it downloads the driver the Ally likes

OK I had that option already selected to NO. Must have been My Asus. This is why I use a Mac for actual work. :)
 
Have you had a driver replaced ?
I see myAsus dumps the installer to where ever you downloaded it to, could just run it from there again instead of downloading each time

I downloaded the 500MB driver from Asus and now have it. After installing it manually I could use "Have Disk" to select the driver and it fixes the issue on the fly.

Crap, no idea then. How do you know the driver was replaced? When I had a rx6800,on occasion it would crash, reset to defaults and notify me in the adrenaline software

I know because there is no GPU. The AMD adrenaline flashes a box saying driver was replaced, games run at 2-3 fps and real time display shows 0 MHz for the GPU.

Oh yes something else happens. During log on, the keyboard doesn't work. So I have to use the Accessibility keyboard to enter the PIN. That happens only if the driver is replaced.

That PIN is also a POS. If you disable virtualisation it resets it and you have to log on to your Windows account online to reset it.

Things are fine this morning after booting up. :)

I'll look out for that. Geez man, sounds like you getting the bugs pretty bad. I'll play around with GPO but first I need to see if I can replicate somehow and see if group policy helps
 
Guys what's a good single player FPS? Something along the style of old time FEAR, Wolfenstein (the one from the early 2000s), etc?

I'd be lying to you if I recommend one. I like to play side scroll/ 2D/ indie games that help me relax. I seldomly play AAA because of time constraints. So mine is more of a pic up and play for 15 min situation than full gaming. Oh but it's also replaced my desktop so that's great

The old time FPS you could just do that. Pick up and play and then save your progress at any time.
