Asus Rog Ally

Argh think the Cyberpunk 2.1.1 update nerfed something as it's now down to 30 to 40fps from where it was 45 plus
 
Hi All,

Just wondering if I buy this dock: LINK

Will I need to get a 100W+ charger to run my Ally at full potential? or would a 65W charger do the trick?

Was thinking about this charger: LINK

If I do need a bigger charger, could someone recommend 1, preferably from Takealot/South African store front.

The more things you want to run off the dock the more power you'd require

Changing power profiles while playing COD flags ricochet.
If you have a power profile set and just play like that, you should be fine

Completely understand that. I would like to accommodate for the times where I would plug in a mouse-keyboard, HDMI, Ethernet and charge the ALLY all at the same time. Is there a recommended charger anyone can provide for this?

And it will change if you disconnect from power by mistake or have loadshedding.

I've not found one yet sorry but over 65w should do

I have a MacDodo 120W GaN and a 100W Unitek travel GaN charger.

With my CharJen Pro USB-C dock I only get 30W Turbo mode on one port of the Unitek (C1). The McDodo does not seem to deliver. I think it was able to deliver before but now no banana.

Yeah noticed that recently the ugreen dock doesn't give 30w either anymore:(

I have this ugreen hub
It did 30W turbo but partner switched the plug off while I was in a gaming session and now it doesn’t do 30W using the hub anymore
ASUS support said do a factory reset
Will try that after the next BIOS update - if that doesn’t somehow set things back

Yeah saw it doesn't do it with its power brick anymore very weird
