Asus Transformer Pad Infinity 700 3G

Its not even out in the US yet...
Have also been on the lookout for it (although I prob cant afford it, haha). As a guess, 2 weeks after launch in the US, which should be sometime this month

We (WebAntics Online) are expecting the stock of the TF700T to arrive in South Africa early Aug 2012 but it will be the wireless model (not 3G). Check out our site for specs we've received on the new model - http://bit.ly/MeBYIx. There probably won't be a 3G model released in South Africa as the TF300 has also just arrived which does come with 3G option.

Then I will rather import the 3G I do not understand how people can only rely on wifi.

Thanks

Some of us just prefer it as a. we get updates quicker, and b. have no problems using Bluetooth tether when we do need it.

I am definitely interested in the TF700T, I can live without the 3G, my phone has a hotspot feature and I have mobile routers.

The Asus Transformer TF700T Pad Infinity has arrived early in South Africa! With a NVIDIA Tegra 3 Quad-Core 1.6GHz CPU and 10.1" Full HD Super IPS+ LED Backlit screen display, the Asus Transformer Pad Infinity has fast become the best 10.1-inch Android out there! We're smitten, can you tell? Visit www.webantics.co.za for more information or email us at [email protected]. Please note that this is only Genuine Asus Transformer TF700T available in South Africa.

Sorry no. There won't be a 3G model coming to South Africa from what Asus SA is telling us. The TF300 Series will be the 3G option in the Transformer range. The Infinity is the replacement for the TF201 Prime which also didn't have 3G.

I believe that the chipset does not support 3G, so the 3G version requires a complete rework and different chipset - so will not be available for a while - read that somewhere, can't provide a link.

I also wanted 3G, but decided to go for the wifi model, I have a little mifi router (and the phone hotspot).

For me as I said above I must have 3G. My tab was stolen and now I sit with the sim.
I will rather then just import it as they will soon be in the US
