I guess that Sandile Shange and Mhlengi Gwala are not much loved by the drug trade in the townships. I think this may be a message to stay away, their positive contributions to children and other drug abusers are not welcomed.

I honestly don't know. I cannot imagine why someone would say something like that if it was fake. But that said, it is easy to say.

I think he made some bad deals with some very bad gangsters. Maybe he didn't pay his debt or something so they are taking his legs as compensation.

This wasn't just a robbery imo. Aiming specifically to saw off his legs make this seem premeditated. Probably wanted to end his career.
