Hi Guys

I bought myself the above mentioned processor and the Coolermaster CM Sphere cooler. The problem is, my processor, under no load, sits at 75°C. As soon as I try play any games, my pc shuts down.

Has anyone else had any probs like this? I'm REALLY hoping its just the flippin installation on the heatsink not making proper contact with the processor. :(

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!!

It does sound like it's not making proper contact. Have you tried reinstalling the cooler and applying new thermal paste?

Maybe see what happen if you use the boxed heatsink/fan. Maybe also reset the bios, to make sure no over-clocking is done. And while you are at is, see that the cooling is set to performance instead of quiet, if that is possible. Check case fans to see that they are blowing in the right direction, and not just creating a maelstrom of hot air.
