Ok So I thought this card which is in my machine was a 1gig card.
Now I see in DXDIAG and on the net that it is 2gig?

WTF?

maybe it's just displaying the RAM of each adapter independently ?

1GB per GPU.

edit: no wait.... I thought you meant DXDiag picks up only 1GB.

afaik the 4870x2 was the first card to feature 2GB's of ram (I stand corrected though)

no dude, you confused me at first, lol - i thought you were supposed to pick up 2GB in DXDiag, but only managed 1 - that's why I though "Only displays amount of RAM per GPU..."

but it is probably 512 per gpu. don't think any 3870x2's have 2GB - where did you read that?

I would love to suddenly find out I have a 2TB Hard Drive when I though it was a 1TB - be happy!

GPU-Z is right. I just sold my 3870X2 and it was 512mb x2
