ATI HD4850 Launched!

well i'm not much of an OC'er... might oc my 6420 every now and then for a little bit of extra performance... but thats about it, and nothing to drastic... tbh I havent OC'd it in about 4 months
 
What about an X48 or another P45...

My bro has a Gigabyte X38-DQ6 - AWESOME.

But the P45 is better (newer) and you have that linux thingy on the P5Q Deluxe... Could come in handy (drivers etc.).

Choose any other P45 based mobo, if the ASUS is not hot for you.

Gigabyte is not too shabby, and Eitai should sort you out in no time...
 
I have the P5Q Deluxe and have had nothing but hassles so far, will work on it some more tomorrow night. Have not touched it for a few days so i could cool down after my last attempts (waiting 10 mins between oc attempts was starting to get to me and having to manually reset the bios on a "high end" board is a no no to me)

p.s. what is the point of ocing if you use cpu level up, no brains needed also no fun involved

you know me, i will buy it if the price seems nice :)

p.s. seems it is the cpu giving me crap not the mobo (E2140 running at 3.2 at this moment 100% oc )
 
Whats the price?

Im also looking for a Crossfire mobo (Intel CPU) for around R1500 - R1800...
 
Yeah I have the p5k, I thought the p5q would be better since it's the new p45 chipset.
 
P5Q can be difficult with the first release bios, but with the later ones I found the board to be pretty good. :) Most certainly better than the P35 boards when it comes to performance.
However I will agree that with release 1 BIOS it can be a trying experience :)
 
O sorry :) My mistake...

I'd probably wait for a cheaper P45 board... Want the mobo to last as long as possible, so dont want to buy old'ish technology already ;)

I did see that AM2+ socket motherboards are a lot cheaper than 775 boards? Or for what you get on them... Saw a MSI AM2 board with 4 PCI-e (Runs at 4x if you use 4 cards) for R1800 or something...
 
Woot Woot, its going to all be mine today! Getting the amazing 4850 and my Zalman PSU. Big ups to Itai, legendary for organising the PSU on the same day. Great service.

Now if only I had a crossfire mobo, then I would definately take that NAG 4850. :D

Yup - Thinking of spending some $$ and getting an xfire compatible mobo so later on I can grab a Second 4850 :)
 
I agree ... I have the P5K Deluxe, and I love it. The only problem now with the P5K, is that they are End of Line, and I can't get them anywhere, I tried a few weeks ago.

True, I had to settle with the P5K SE/epu all the other P5Ks I wanted were out of stock.
