hi might upgrade verry verry soon and just a question
what to choos a ATI 5970 or GTX 480
Which really is the fastest video card?
o I looked here and need help plz (Which really is the fastest video card? C-L-I-C-K)
and one last thing what is the best usb 3.0 mobi available today ?

----------> DONT post if you are a fkn NOOB and don't know what is what PLZ !!!!!!!!

well, ATI is know for making much lighter GPUs with about the same specs or better than the power hungry nVIDEA GPUs.

From what i have read the 5970 is the faster card of the two. I cant really help you on the USB 3 part as i have not done much research into that and it will also depend on the CPU you are going to use.

The 5970 is the fastest video card no question.

As for the best usb 3 board all I can say is that it isnt 1156 based.

5970 is definitely faster that the GTX480. Not to mention the power requirements for the GTX480, and how hot it runs...

As for the best USB3.0 board, it depends on what socket you are looking for?

LGA1366: ASUS Rampage 3 Extreme - Republic of Gamers
LGA1156: ASUS Maximus 3 Extreme - Republic of Gamers
AM3: ASUS M4A89GTD Pro

Agreed^

5970, runs cooler, uses less power, beats the 480 in most scenarios.

Says the guy asking if a 480 is faster than a 5970 :D
hey I just don't want people to reply that does not know any thing .... and yes i said that so that if ther is someone like me that doesn't know things about it wouldn't add a noob/dumb reply .

Problem atm is pricing on Fermi cards doesn't reflect properly. The rrp of a 5970 is around $600, whereas the rrp of a 480 is around $500. At that point the 480 is competitive from a price/performance pov. But currently pricing is nearly the same, so the 5970 is a clear win.

ATI has a much nicer User interface and also supports Full screen video mirror in both windows vista and windows 7, where as nvidia does not.

nVidia has per application profiles though, which I quite miss after switching to ATI.

Hope you have a 30" screen @ 2560@1600 to appreciate the super fast card with! Oh, and GTX 480 SLI FTW

The fermi is more expensive and has a 12% performance over the 5870. The 5970 is the fastest, and its a dual gpu. Go with ATI rather 'cos i have read many reviews on the the Fermi and i think that its a disappointment mainly because of the noise and heat that it generates.

I don't think that USB3 is at its full potential either, as its not controlled in a proper manner in the bios, and i read that at Dailytech and Anandtech.
