Ah sounds like a nightmare, ISP's should try and centralise these FNO support issues somehow to get the FNO to resolve quicker but I wish you luck!
Yeah, at least things like Adobe suite update full line speed since local.

FF said they re-created the interface, no change for me in terms of loss. Atomic has warned me that FF will contact me and force me to go through their testing suite.
At least I finally got the point that FF has a line issue, CISP I was still waiting after months.

So, update, FF did at one point take my line down for a bit, then asked if improved, it didn't.
MTR doesn't usually show any packet loss, iPerf definitely does for local, even to Atomic's own iPerf server.

FF are the nicest bunch ever...

Atomic is been pretty good though, their technicians are the ones who remind me of stuff rather than the other way around, lol, that's how it should be, service on terms of their side is pretty good, I'd have been frustrated with me by now.

In terms of local downloads, well, updated Mordhau yesterday at a nice 12MB/s, and downloading W10 right now, sadly it doesn't flat line at 100Mbps, but I've never seen it flat line:

In terms of latency, it's been pretty good except for the mess-up on FF side, would recommend atomic.

I especially like the fact that they have a nice Telegram announcement channel, I saw people on FB group complaining about speeds and stuff yesterday (also here on CI), meanwhile I got a nice advance notice by Atomic. It's the little things besides the good connection that matter, and Atomic definitely delivers them.

Btw you don't need to be part of Atomic to be part of the group, recommend anyone on FF to join it, the Desktop Telegram client uses ~12MB of RAM including all my other chats, so not an issue to have open permanently in tray to get a notification when FF have issues.

As a side note, I've now built a GUI app to do iPerf tests for me through the Windows Subsystem for Linux as the normal Windows network stack has issues with UDP packet loss graphing, but you still have to do all the set-up beforehand, so not sure if worth giving out, lol.

for custom and:

For one click with output on the desktop. Built it so I can get my brother to do the iPerf test for me when not at home. It's 18MB, but you'd also need to download a WSL image, so ~150MB total.

Nice tool! I think you should put it on github or something, the community could probably use something like that.

Just got an email that Octotel are increasing their prices and therefore Atomic have to increase theirs. Bah.

I wonder how Octotel get that into their heads considering the price-cuts on Openserve and Vumatel recently.

there have been no price cuts on vuma, just scrapping 4mb to 10mb with a bump.

I have been with Atomic for 8 months now. Their support is superior to any ISP I have dealt with. They are very proactive and client focused. Network updates on WhatsApp and Telegram. Very experienced network / technical team. They have your back, and that means a lot to us. (Using their connection fo business and personal.)

The no call centre thing is a non issue as most companies don't even answer their phones in a reasonable time. So what's the point.
The response time on their support means you won't miss a call centre.

Give them a try - I would not make a referral if I didn't think it was worth it. I have dealt with some of the founders, hands on peeps who care about their company.

Have also not had an issue with the lack of a call centre, email gets response quick enough, even on weekends and holidays.

The Speedtest result was not great but not terrible.

The iperf was more interesting - do Atomic have UK servers?

That speedtest to London is very poor - I have signed up with Atomic but am still awaiting installation - but I hope that is not what they accept as "good"

Howzit, did another one on my lunch time break. See here.
I get to Euro server about 12 MB/sec or +- 100 megabits per second upload, depending.

When I spoke to their support about links they said there are multiple international links. Hope that helps.

Hey. Must do, got the iperf from them. Not sure about their actual network map, maybe worth a suggestion, asking them to put something on their site.

EDIT: Thinking back those were quote cool. Everyone used to have a network map on their site showing national and international links. UUNET, IS, oh well maybe it will come back again.

You've made the right decision.
