At first I was amazed at how good the concept of the atrix and it's laptop dock works. The webtop OS was limited, but now developers from xda have modded full running ubuntu on the device running via HDMI cable or dock. This is just amazing. I can only dream that in the near future notebooks will be replaced by phones and some nifty docks!

Well, that's the way things are going. Tablets will replace end user laptops in a sense because most people don't need raw processing power... Most people just need something to type up documents, do spread sheets, send emails... This is why intel is now jumping into the tablet/phone market.

With cloud computing also becoming big, all you need to do is sign into your account, and then you get all your data streamed to you via one server (it's also safer for companies... People don't need to have their data on a pc's that need upgrades, rather, just a server, and then back up that one (or more?) servers).

Looks like the world is transforming, great isn't it :D.

I honestly don't know why it isn't happening already :/ (as in I can get my hands on it now)

Obviously concept is obvious like 2 years ago.

But yeah fully agreed :)

The combination of cloud based services and storage coupled with a design to allow your phone or tablet to use any LCD and keyboard/mouse is the trend of the future.

That's awesome. I wonder when that capability will come to other phones. I don't mean just running Ubuntu like they can now but being able to render it through HDMI and at higher resolutions.

Then you just need a bluetooth keyboard with a trackpad, and you have a super portable PC.
