Att: openweb/mrBEEP/Keoma

Ryzzhan:

Simple question. Did you download and are you using the Openbrowze software?

I think Ryzzhan's main problem is not his login details as such but the support that he is not really getting from openweb. Had he received proper support maybe he would have received his details and not be flaming like this on the forum.

I think it is very much certain that the openweb support stinks and which is actually crippling the company. The products being advertised are not performing as they should which in my opinion is actually false advertising.

I use to be a openweb customer back in the day and i know to well what these people are talking about. the bad customer service and poor performance of the products especially open browse. Only solution that could be reached, find a company thats answers there phone calls and know what they talking about.

to be dead honest Snowblind is 100% correct. i would not have gone off like this had i recieved the service and the support that i was promised. and generally i think Keoma is a nice guy.. but being nice in business towards slacking employees wont get you anywhere. they are dragging his company down into the drain. and in that case i do hold him responsible for his. cause openweb is his company. and he is the one who is suppose to make sure his staff deliver and if they dont tell them to find another job. it's cruel but it's the way real life works.

i have tonight tried one last email personally to mrbeep on [email protected] and will be awaiting his reply. if i dont get one, and but that i mean i get an email with a sollution to my horrible service that i have been getting from his staff. this will be the LAST month we support openweb. i think two months almost now has been more than enough to them to get their behinds in gear and actually deliver. and i am not the only one who complains about openweb also mind you. the forums is covered in threads about openweb and their products that dont work as they should and their non-existent client service.

now my patience is wearing thin and i expect some results. a month and a half has been more than enough. that of which i spend 19 days of the previous month without any access that openweb was payed for and their support staff just shrugged their shoulders and told us to phone telkom cause they didnt know what the problem was.

Ryzzhan: Did you download and are you using Openrouter!?

yes i have!? are you happy now!? can you calm down now!? thank you!? :P seriously...

and even with that it's not preforming as it should most pages only load half way and i have to refresh until they someday decide to work properly.

you see THIS here THIS is the reason for my breeding contempt of openweb's services. this is the msg i am SICK and TIRED of seeing all the bloody time now

Data Transfer Interrupted
The connection to www.google.com was in
The browser connected successfully, but the connection was interrupted while transferring information. Please try again.

and this is just trying to connect to gmail. hell alone knows about other sites and just stop loading for no reason halfway through and i have to refresh like crazy to hope the site will eventually load.

LOL... since I last talked to you I sent an e-mail and got a response from OpenWeb. Maybe they only talk to civilsed people? :D

Gary do you work for openweb dude?

You seem too always be defending them as if there is no problem and the problem lies with the people who complain.

yes i have!? are you happy now!?
Yes, thanks for not ignoring me again. :(

In that case you are quite legitimately angry, especially with the level of service. It is the reason I left them as well. I had a VPN account (a product they seem to have discontinued), which stopped working for at least a month with no proper feedback as to why it was happening, not even from Keoma. The return emails contained nothing but non-information and pre-scripted responses. I was given a guest account, which softened the blow a bit, but it was too little too late. Just cancel and move on. I am not very optimistic that you will receive any kind of restoration of proper service.

look here ... i did this this morning...

LOL. This has fail written all over it. Again.

What is it with you two, I've been having a look at threads concerning Openweb and you two are constantly bad mouthing anyone who says anything remotely bad about Openweb, every single time you jump in as soon as the thread starts.

I have been with Openweb before and the service was terrible so I feel for the OP, it's annoying seeing every single person who posts their opinion here get attacked by you two like they are doing something wrong.

Gary do you work for openweb dude?

You seem too always be defending them as if there is no problem and the problem lies with the people who complain.

Agreed.

Only 3 people work for Openweb lulz :P

Keoma, the cleaner and the chimpanzee who works in billing :P

Agreed.

If they are doing something wrong, then I shall say so. I get attacked on here if I talk rubbish. Why should it be different for anyone else?

The recent episode had some merit to it but the OP's main gripe was completely ridiculous. Which we explained to him. At length.

I do NOT work for Openweb. I have been a customer of theirs for years and they have always been great. Who knows, maybe I am just lucky or maybe that is because I know WHAT I an buying before I buy it and can use a bit of common sense when required.

I am NOT saying that there are no issues when it comes to service.

But it irks me no end when people come on here trying to ruin a company's name without any basis whatsoever.

sorry folks, i have to play devil's advocate. i sympathise with you for your bad service, really i do. it must be horrible. however, i have to defend hj2k_x and Garyvdh bcs it seems that they feel that many people are making openweb out to be all bad when they are not. they are a small isp and like Gary said (i think), they run on low profit margins bcs of our high bandwidth rates. they exist simply to provide us with a cheaper service.

clients who have issues must speak up but (and here's where the defence comes in), clients who have had good service must also speak up and let us know about the things that are going RIGHT with the company. i applaud them for letting us know the good and to challenge complainers to assess whether the complaints are valid.

once again, much sympathy to the bloke having such serious problems but props as well to the blokes with the guts to speak up for a company that is being killed by bad publicity, warranted or otherwise.

I stick by the 100% made up fact that Super Grandmasters on MyBB are on a "do not piss off this guy" list at Openweb xD

I stick by the fact that Keoma is friggin awesome and a real champion in the broadband industry.

However, there are issues that need to be sorted. You don't need a large amount of staff to administrate an ISP / operate a support line. You just need to make sure that everything is working 100%, the exception being when IS / Verizon fail to perform their duty as a provider to Openweb.

I never had a problem with the billing, but it seems to be a gripe.

Also, I just checked the website, this looks good (and once again prove Keoma is operating with his customer's best interests at heart):

* 384k Uncapped ADSL (with no rate limits), running at 384k speeds day and night for around R599 (estimated price).
* 384k - 10GB ADSL account (not a VPN, a direct ADSL account that you pop into your router and have direct internet access without proxies or VPN's) for around R349 (estimated price).

We are also focusing on some gaming specific products, that will allow high bandwidth to the most popular gaming sites.

Looks good, almost tempted to go back to Openweb, but once bitten twice shy hey? :)

LOL, all this posting finally pays off :D

Hehe, but I seriously doubt that comes into play at all.
