My wife applied for a new contract via Vodacom Direct on 20/07/2011, thinking that authorisation and delivery would be speedy and saving me a trip to the local store.

Application was approved on 21/07/2011. So where's the contract and phone??? Apparently RAM have it and have our home address as the delivery address and refuse to amend it. Was sent from pillar to post today by Vodacom Direct ref no Y0782281. We're now tired of waiting so here's the bottom line. Either the phone is in her hands by 16:00 today or you can cancel the application. I'll take the time to go into a provider with "whoosh" and walk out with a new phone and contract instead of waiting a week and getting nowhere.

This pathetic service does not deserve our business. Complaint has also been registered with HelloPeter.

THE BALL IS IN YOUR COURT!!!

I called Vodacom Direct and they advised that the 1st attempt was on the 22nd July at 5:28pm to the home address. The delivery address was then changed , and the second attempt tried delivery yesterday at 5:36 to the new address.

You can call Ram on 0861726726 to advise when and where you will be available.

Hope this helps

Regards

VD

Don't put the blame on us - The correct delivery address (my wife's work) was supplied to Vodacom Direct when applying for the phone. They VD chose to use the incorrect address (home address) Why would RAM try and deliver to a work address at 17:36??. My wife already spoke to RAM this morning without success. Our contract is with yourselves and not with RAM. You phone my wife and sort it out. You have her details. Otherwise cancel the contract - we'll go elsewhere.

Or get RAM to phone my wife - we've wasted enough time, money and energy on this already. They've only got until 16:00 though to deliver.

But thanks for responding - quite unexpected.

I'll send you a pm , with all the details , i did not want to put your address details on this thread , with the instruction to RAM. The only reason i asked you to call RAM was because they are the company that does the delivery and not Vodacom ourselves. So it would make sense to cut out the middel man so to speak , to simplify things.
