AU Summit delegate robbed by bogus cops

Gabriel Gundo was robbed of $500 and R700 by men posing as Nigerian police officers on Marlboro Drive.

JOHANNESBURG - Gauteng police have confirmed a delegate due to attend the 25th African Union (AU) Summit was robbed while travelling from OR Tambo International Airport to Sandton on Wednesday night.

It's believed the men who robbed Nigerian official Gabriel Gundo were posing as Nigerian police officers on Marlboro Drive in Sandton.

The 55-year-old was robbed of $500 and R700.

The police's Lungelo Dlamini says the Hawks have taken over the investigation.
