The Mito is to pretty for a guy, where as this A1 will work.
I had a look over the weekend at the dimensions of the A1 and the A3 Sportback.
On the ouside the A1 is only 25mm narrower and about 30cm shorter. On the inside the front seats have more headroom, but apart from that its cabin is a lot smaller than the A3.
TBH, I'm starting to wonder what the plan was for the A1. Its not really that much smaller than the A3, not really cheaper either (unless you count smaller engines than available in the A3). Its more customisable looks-wise, but at a rediculous price. I don't think the managers were very certain about the strategy for the A1 at the planning stages.

I think we should do some comparitive pricing, spec for spec A1 vs Mini Cooper, the entry level models. The S1 is on the cards so that will take on the Cooper S.
I've heard good things bout the A1 over the weekend from people who were at melrose arch.

The A1 makes 90kw, the Mito is 125kw. Highly unlikely the German is quicker.
