Heyguys,

Im looking at buying myself an audi, an A3 2.0T or 2.0 to be exact, what is the cost of ownership(Maintenance, services etc) like? is it reasonable?

I just really don't wanna break to bank getting the car i love, and then have to sit with sky high costs....

thanks in advance...

my vote is for a A3 2.0T low mileage with motor plan... don't know how expensive they are though, but they have to be. it's an Audi...

Thanks for the advise.... I have my heart set on the 2.0T... but like you say, prices are a bit insane, and when you find a cheaper one, the milage is just a little insane...

With maintenance plan, u only have to pay for tyres.
For a turbo outside the plan, can cost from 20k-40k (depends on who u take it to - a friend of mine said his cost 23k from Audi but within service plan).
I would suggest 2.0 outside Plan, 2.0T within plan - can extend plan 2.

On another note - had a 2.0T - best car ever  - still miss it so much:cry:

Audi's second hand value is not much. So don't buy new. Rather buy a 2/3 year old one for 1/2 the price.

I got me a second hand A3 Sportback 2.0 beginning of last year... had 75k on the clock, and 2006 model so was still under motorplan. I'll do the buy again and again :) very happy with it! The 2.0T is nice, but its a lot more expensive and you only really miss the difference when trying to dice someone or going on a long trip with the car loaded... Also that turbo is expensive to replace outisde of a plan. The normal 2.0 is no slouch... cruises very nicely at 160 :)

Anyone know what the value on a Audi A3 2007/2008 models are??

Just got myself one of these :D 2nd hand 2.0 FSI :)

congrats... pics?

Thanks, will take some today or tomorrow and try upload them. Very nice car, hopefully i can start using it tomorrow. :) I was quite surpised at how nice the drive was when i test drove the car, had expectations, but this exceeded mine.

Such an awesome car to drive. Should have bought one sooner :D:D:D:D:D:D:D

With the exception of the 2.0T, which is what Sparkz is looking. Low mileage (60 000 - 80 000km) 2006 A3 2.0T are selling for about R180 000 - R190 000.

Congratulations! You've made the right choice :) Ja, as I said driving your couch. An Audi feels classy and luxurious, and it is!

Got myself the Bose sound system ;)

But yes, I have a 2.0T - but next time round I may just get the S3 :D

Driven quite a few BMW's.... find the steering on the Audi a little too bland... too merc like. Other than that its a fantastic car. Couldn't really choose what sound i wanted, bought 2nd hand, glad the previous owner went for Symphony + MF steering.
