The upcoming Q6 e-tron EV has been leaked.

Audi Q6 E-Tron's face revealed by new spy shots

The upcoming Audi Q6 E-Tron has so far been spotted in a full camo suit earlier this month, thus the only thing that was revealed then was its overall shape and profile. That all changes today, however, with a new spy shot that shows us the EV's front, in all its glory. Ladies and gentlemen, take a look at that face:

As you can see, Audi went for a split-headlight design with the daytime running lights above the headlights, and a closed-off silver-colored grille which contrasts with the surrounding color. Fake vents can be seen to the left and right of the grille, just below the headlights.

The front camera is housed under the Audi badge, while an opening in the lower bumper is the home of the sensors for the car's driver assist technologies.

There are more new spy shots, but these show the car in full camo once again. Still, we can speculate that the Q6 E-Tron will have a full-width taillight. According to past rumors, the RS version of this crossover will offer 600 hp from a dual-motor all-wheel drive setup. There will apparently be an entire range of battery packs with both single and dual-motor configs, so you'll get a lot of choice when buying.

Audi Q6 E-Tron spied with no camouflage & split-headlight design

Just when you thought that the seemingly ubiquitous split-headlight design was to be limited to new BMW’s, Rolls-Royces and a slew of Hyundai’s and Kia’s, some spy shots of the upcoming Q6 E-Tron suggest otherwise. Oh dear…

Motor1.com reports that despite a year of Audi Q6 E-Tron spy shots, very little was given away in terms of the vehicle’s design. A full camouflage wrap is to be thanked for that; however some fresh spy shots reveal the front of the all-electric crossover without any camo for the first time.

Featuring a rather large, closed off silver grille with a prominent Audi logo and a front-facing camera below it, the Q6’s fascia is very modern Audi EV, as is to be expected. Below the silver grille is an opening which likely houses a number of driver-assistance sensors. Flanking the grille are a pair of daytime running lights, below which are the vehicle’s headlights.

Audi is also making a Q6 e-tron Sportback, spy shots reveal

We've already seen the upcoming Audi Q6 e-tron in spy shots, one even revealing the actual look of its 'face'. And while Audi is surely still working hard on bringing that model to the market, now we learn that there's also going to be a Q6 e-tron Sportback variant. This has been revealed by a bunch of spy shots, which you can see below, clearly showing a Q6 e-tron silhouette, but with a sloping rear roofline - thus, a Sportback.

Like the Q6 e-tron, this is most likely being developed using the Premium Platform Electric (PPE) that Audi shares with Porsche. The Audi e-tron and the Q4 e-tron both have Sportback versions already, so adding a Sportback model to the Q6 range as well makes perfect sense in Audi's logic. This will appeal to people who want an SUV with a more dynamic, more sporty look, even if rear headroom will be sacrificed.

New Audi Q6 E-tron Sportback tipped for 2024 launch

Rakish-roofed electric SUV to sit on Audi and Porsche’s shared platform

Audi will launch a coupé-style Sportback version of its upcoming Q6 E-tron electric SUV – and it could be in dealerships in 2024.

Spied for the first time, the electric SUV will join the standard version of the Audi Q6 E-tron, which the German car maker has tipped to reach its first customers in 2023.

What sets the newly spotted model apart is its sleek, rakish roofline, a distinguishing feature of Audi’s Sportback models. The rest of the car follows a near-identical design to the standard car, with slimline LED headlights, large vents and an expansive interpretation of Audi’s trademark 'single-frame' grille.

Inside, it is expected to take cues from the current Audi E-tron, which gets a dual-screen MMI Navigation Plus infotainment suite, as well as a digital instrument screen. No official details have yet been released.

2024 Audi Q6 E-Tron and E-Tron Sportback spotted road testing

The 2024 Audi Q6 e-tron development is under way and two test vehicles were recently spotted roaming streets in Germany. The Q6 e-tron is Audi’s first electric car to use the newly developed PPE platform, the one to be used in the upcoming electric Porsche Macan that we recently saw testing in the Alps.

Despite the camouflage, we can see slim headlights and air intakes low in the front bumper. The headlights are split like we have seen on many new cars, BMW seems to have started the trend with its i7 although the idea goes back all the way to Citroen.

We can clearly see there are separate light clusters in the bumper, right under the main headlights that sit much higher. There is a set of fog lamps as well at the very bottom of the front splitter.

Audi Q6 e-tron undergoes winter testing

Production-ready Audi Q6 e-tron is being put through the extreme weather testing at Audi’s KALT1 testing grounds in the Swedish part of Lapland. The vehicle is built on the new PPE platform that will support the electric Porsche Macan as well.

Audi Q6 e-tron will be slightly smaller than the current Q8 e-tron and will be available both in the SUV and Sportback versions. It was supposed to launch last year, but the company pushed the debut back in order to address the software issues plaguing the entire VW Group.

This is the first time we see the official photos of the production-ready Q6 and there are visible differences between this version and one leaked by the Chinese MIIT. The car in the photos is the SUV version, sporting split-headlight design with the DRL LEDs sitting high above the driving lights - it’s a trend started by BMW i7 and slowly taking over the automotive world.

With the Q6 e-tron slightly smaller than the Q8, it will be competing with the likes of Tesla Model Y and BMW iX3. The B segment of crossover/SUV electric vehicles is getting busy, Nissan Ariya can be considered a competitor, as soon as Nissan works out the production issues.

The upcoming Audi Q6 e-tron spotted on the streets of Denver, Colorado

The Audi Q6 e-tron is a highly-anticipated all-electric SUV that slots right between the Q8 e-tron and the Q4 e-tron. The latter is out and about, the Q8 is about to start deliveries, but the Q6 is still a mystery, so every bit of info is useful right now.

And apparently, the Q6 e-tron is inching closer to launch as it was recently spotted on the streets of Denver, Colorado. Of course, the car is wrapped with camo all-around, so we can't clearly see all the design traits. However, the sighting suggests that the Q6 is in the final stages of its testing cycle and Audi is now fine-tuning the SUV.

New Audi Q6 E-tron will use firm's world-first 'dynamic' tail lights

LEDs feature safety technology with ability to provide warning signs and bespoke driver 'signatures'

Audi has revealed that the advanced lighting set to be used by its upcoming Q6 E-tron will establish two world firsts for production models: the ability to provide specific warning signs to fellow road users and a range of bespoke ‘signatures’ for each driver.

The new SUV features digital daytime-running lights with 61 individual segments (in place of the 10 on the smaller Q4 E-tron), while the third-generation OLED tail-lights use 60 segments per OLED tile – a tenfold increase over those of the Audi A8. Together, they provide the Q6 E-tron with up to eight different lighting signatures.

The tail-lights, with a total of 360 individual elements in six OLED tiles, feature a world first with what Audi calls the Dynamic Active Light function, which sees the lighting graphic within each of the OLEDs in the lower part of the lights alter without affecting the overall brightness.

Audi SQ6 E-tron prototype review

Sufficiently rapid and dynamically poised to merit the hallowed S badge – but then so is the standard Q6

Audi engineers acknowledge criticism (mainly from British reviews, they hint) that what the company’s performance cars offer in whipcrack acceleration and visual drama, they tend to concede in steering feel and dynamic responsiveness. To avoid the hallowed 'S' moniker becoming a mere trim level as the brand phases out the charismatic combustion engines that help to compensate for this numbness today, it must be eradicated.

So there is no small weight of expectation upon this latest entrant into the electric Audi Sport line-up, which follows the pioneering – and somewhat experimental – Audi SQ8 E-tron (née E-tron S).

Where the SQ8 E-tron has a unique tri-motor arrangement – one at the front and two at the rear – the new Audi SQ6 E-tron goes for a more conventional dual-motor set-up, identical to that of the standard Audi Q6 E-tron but retuned for extra punch, to the tune of 510bhp. The simpler layout allows for a more straightforward apportioning of torque forward or rearward as required, and thus more obedient and precisely manageable dynamics, but as the flag-bearer for the ‘new Audi DNA’, the sporty Q6 is charged with not just providing confidence-inspiring handling but also establishing a flair for balance and engagement that, you could argue, has been missing from warmed-up Audis of late.

Audi’s Futuristic Tail Lights Will Warn Cyclists When You Open A Door Into The Bike Lane

The Audi Q6 e-tron comes with OLED tail lights that can be programmed to show specific messages and even a signature to indicate who’s driving

Audi has really been a bit of a pioneer when it comes to slick tail lights in recent years. Sure, we don’t get a lot of these innovations stateside because of our weird lighting laws, but we can all surely admire the arrays on display across cars like the A7. Now, the German automaker has a new tail light in the worksthat’s set to blow our socks off once again.

The new lighting rig debuted on the Q6 e-tron prototype, which broke cover this week. It still uses the same organic light-emitting diode (OLED) tech that you’ll find in cars like the A8, but Audi is taking things up a notch this time.

Audi Q6 e-tron wants to revolutionize car communications

The upcoming and no longer secret Audi Q6 e-tron isn't just turning heads - it's illuminating the way for a new era in automotive design and safety. How? Through a revolutionary feature: active digital light signatures. And, no, this isn’t the script for a new sci-fi blockbuster; it's happening right here, right now, on our roads.

Here's the scoop. For the first time ever, you, as the car owner, can choose a personalized digital light signature for your headlights and rear lights. No, you won't be shooting lasers or launching fireworks (we know, a pity), but this feature adds a unique, animated design to your car's lighting system. And this isn’t just for show - it serves a practical purpose, too. The lights are intended to communicate with other road users, boosting safety by displaying relevant information via exterior lights. Talk about a bright idea.

With the introduction of second-generation digital OLED rear lights, the Audi Q6 e-tron raises the bar in light design, functionality, and safety. Let's cut the jargon: OLEDs (Organic Light Emitting Diodes) are advanced lights that provide a uniform and highly contrasted light, which can be molded into different shapes and broken down into controllable segments. In other words, your car will be a canvas, and you'll be the digital Picasso, designing your car's lighting aesthetics with a click of a button.

The active digital light signature isn’t just an impressive aesthetic feature, it's also a huge stride towards personalization. Audi has granted drivers the power to customize their car's look with up to eight digital light signatures for the Q6 e-tron. The ability to do so is integrated into Audi's myAudi app and the car's MMI (Multi Media Interface). Your car, your rules, right?

Audi Q6 e-tron prototype review: an electric SUV that'll go sideways

You sound impressed.

We are. Perhaps more than we expected, based on this admittedly limited exposure. There’s terrific refinement here and even some character, backed up by the promise of an advanced and imaginatively conceived new user interface. The Q e-tron will arrive in the UK early next year, but Audi is clearly on a positive trajectory.

Audi shows off the Q6 E-tron interior with three displays

Audi is introducing the Q6 E-tron to the world bit by bit. Today's scoop is one of the bigger ones, though - it's our first look at the high-tech interior.

The Q6 E-tron will slot between the Q4 E-tron and Q8 E-tron and is the first E-tron built on the PPE (Premium Platform Electric) platform, co-developed with Porsche, and the E3 architecture.

The interior is as premium and high-tech as you can expect from an Audi. Upfront, there's the "digital stage" - a combination of displays for both the driver and the passenger.

The driver has the MMI panoramic display, which spans two OLED panels - an 11.9-inch Audi virtual cockpit, and the 14.5-inch MMI touch display in the center.

The front passenger gets a separate 10.9-inch display that sits nestled under the corner of the center display, for privacy. It means that it doesn't distract the driver and is angled toward the passenger.

The Q6 E-tron can also be configured with an AR head-up display, which reflects a tilted image plane for the driver with information like the speed, traffic signs, and navigation.
