This thing must be the quickest production Audi they have?

Looks are subjective and I don't really think it's a great looker, but wow is it quick ... 412kw/ 700nm / 0-100km/h in under 4 seconds. Dispatches both rivals with ease

Saw one at Audi Rivonia yesterday at just over R1.5m though

Yeah - really did smoke the BMW & Merc

In fairness the audi is half a bar more expensive though which is not exactly pocket change.

Plus at that level I'd be inclined to consider looks / comfort more than speed. Pretty sure the Merc/BMW would be sufficiently fast for my day to day commuting needs. :D
 
I don't think quite that much extra?

How much is an M6? I know a base 650i is almost R1.2m, so you'll probably find an M6 is similar price

The E63 S may even be more than the Audi, as a base E63 is R1.4m, so get S spec and a few options and you''ll be looking at R1.6m/R1.7m for the Merc

The thing is, when they all stand still parked next to each other, the Audi looks the slowest and lamest of them all.

True.

Almost opposite to the Astra OPC actually. Looks pretty impressive parked, but when you start driving you realise it's not very quick nor a real drivers car
 
Have to agree. Astra OPC is useless on this case.

Thank god we have the Insignia OPC to crush the RS7passatA4jettaVAGisALLtheSAME
 
That should be able to run with cars at around 200kw - hardly earth shattering performance.

But I guess it's a start.

EDIT : Oh I see the Insignia OPC is around Golf 6R speed (188kw). That's embarrassing actually for the amount of power it has :/ It's worse than the Astra OPC - doesn't look fast and it isn't

I found many videos yesterday ... Golf 6R , Audi A3 2.0T and the 239kw OPC battled with them? OPCs always seem to punch a category or two below what they should

I'd be embarrassed if I ad one. Perhaps GM are embarrassed to bring it out here for the same reason ?
 
I think the RS7 is gorgeous, just needs the quad pipes of the S7 and it'll look the business. Looks and sounds the bizniz, and has the performance credentials to back up the bark. The only thing that comes close to it in terms of looks (in that class) is the CLS63 AMG.

Then it's not a car no more, but a Supercar.

Super cars are classified by doing 0 - 60mph/100kmph under 4 seconds.
And pretty damn cheap if that's the case.

Where'd you pull that from? :p 'Supercar' isn't a term with any set definition, except some nebulous version of 'blerrie fast'. This thing certainly qualifies as giving a supercar-worthy performance though.
