Audi S3 price advice

My policy is not to buy performance cars second hand, regardless of whether it still has a maintenance plan or not. Good luck though, hope it all works out.

lol Roux is not a fan of VAG's and Audi's for that matter :), give him a Hyundai and he'll be happy
Ah - yes! yep that is exactly what I sensed and wanted to put my finger on. Oh, and not just Hyundai, anything else will do. Lada Niva anyone ? :p

Best piece of advice I can give you here is to rather get the 135i Coupe :)

Lol I am just as weary, but you only are young once and hafto take chances sometimes,
Also hoping things work out.

*Crosses fingers...

Lol unfortunately the 135I is not covered by my insurance.. Too sad..

And yes the car still has 3 years on the motor plan :)

The S3 is an awesome awesome car, have a look here http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=207465

If i wasn't such a die hard BMW fan I'd seriously consider one.

Once you've done the AA check and contacted Audi to get a history on the car I'd say you've done your homework.

Also 3 years left on the motorplan is a lot, I figure if it only gives trouble a year after you bought it you can't really blame the previous owner. If it does you get the parts swapped out, sounds a good deal to me.

I'm sure you're gonna love the car,I know I would.

Almost as much as a 135i :)

Don't mind Rouxenator...he's just on another one of his childish VAG vendettas again.

I suspect someone in his family was mowed down by Citi and he's held a grudge since.

That said, there is nothing wrong with the 135i/335i either. Both are great cars, but personally I'm not a fan of the interiors.

R330 000 gets you a brand new VW Scoroscoro 2.0 TSI or Alfa Guilietta(the fast one).

Sure not as fast as a S3 (you are coming from a Getz after all :D) but extremely good looking, not common at all and is brand new with maintenance plan. You don't want to be paying off and expensive Audi out of motorplan...

Also new A3 out in a few months.

Do you really want to be stuck with the current (8 year old) shape for another 5 years, I'm presuming the car is going to be on HP. In the final year of payment its going to be a 13 year old shape...

But why buy the normal scirocco when the R just came out...

Plus the main reason I chose the
S3 was coz it was my idolic car from campus days.. Sigh..

Was one of the main reasons I eventually got my degree..lol ..

Also, I have seen the new shape, I'm not a huge fan, plus the new shape s3 will only be out in two years..

Alfa Guilietta?

The current A3 is just too old to spend that kind of money (IMO).

Oh and about the Scirrocco, sure the R just came out but its the same shape.

How can you say no to this in favour of a 2nd hand 8 year old VAG? :P

Will definitely agree with you guys on that, but its def more expensive 330k+ , esp if you want all the perks. Plus, its an alfa...

The S3 sportback is an Awesome car. From friends who have them rhey hardly give issues (if looked aftered).

Ull love that car everytime You drive it. It fast, reliable, handles awesome with the 4WD and that german built quality keeps You comfortable and relaxed (talking of interior.

Honestly I don't know 1 person who bought an S3 and looked back. They luv that car.

Always warm up / cool off car.
Change oils on time and use Correct oils.
Use 95 octane.

Alfa's are nice but resale value is not the greatest. Ull still get better resale on the S3 def.

Might be 8 year shape but its 1 of the best cars on the road and if You always wanted 1 I'd say go for it.

3yr motorplan is plus.
