I want to split the audio from the dstv decoder RCA jacks to my Hi-FI auxillary. It currently runs to the TV video and audio left /right. I need to maintain this set up and then take the audio only form the decoder to the Hi-Fi so I can stream audio channels. I dont want to be removing cables all the time. I have seen an A/V splitter but would appreciate any suggestions. Is there a RCA source splitter plug?:(

You can get a cheap RCA cable splitter at most hifi stores. ( You'll need two - one for each channel ) and some more cable to run to your hifi... i have been doing this for years to split audio output from my pc to different amps and tv.

Doesnt the Standard Decoder still come with a SCART plug output ? You can just buy an SCART plug with Audio cables from a Hi Fi store and use that ?

I have seen the scart plug but no its straight RCA jacks from decoder. Hi-FI corp does not have it but I will get it from Ellies or Zakspeed. Thanks guys for the info. If only i could convince these folks to get a media server going or a HTPC.
