urgent help pls,

my audio drivers wont work on my new motherboard , and i've tried downloading new drivers and the ones from the CD but it still wont work.
pls advise on what to do

Let me tell you what, I had similar problem when I got my gigabyte motherboard with the soundcard driver. There's a problem with your driver installation sequence. There's a microsoft UAA driver for HD sound on your driver CD. You should try install this one before you install your sound card driver, if this is what you have done and it doen't work, Uninstall your current sound card, reboot and try install the UAA HD driver first, then you sound card driver (Or the other way around, I can't remember the exact sequence, but definitely it's the same problem).

is there any way that this Microsoft UAA driver might be on the internet because it isn't on my drivers CD?

my bad guys, i found the UAA drivers on the cd but now it doesn't let me install the Realtek HD Audio drivers, what to do now?

by the way i dont have a sound card, its onboard sound

(Ignore this step if you have the UAA patch)Go to this page, download the UAA patch:http://www.giga-byte.com/Support/Motherboard/Driver_DownloadFile.aspx?FileType=Driver&FileID=836

Then, go to control panel, system, hardware, device manager, expand sound, video, game controller and locate realtek HD audio, right click then select the second option (the one above uninstall, sorry my system is not in English so don't want to confuse you with incorrect translation). Now install the UAA patch. When done, use the same procedure to enable the realtek HD audio. Now install new sound card driver and restart your PC and see if your it works or not.

this thing that u gave me didn't work either,i'm gonna exchange my motherboard for a new one, this one was out of its plastic covering so i dont know why i bought this one.

It should work if your onboard sound was enabled in BIOS and you can disable it from device manager. But just keep this in mind when you get the new motherboard because when I allowed Gigabyte's CD to auto install all drivers for me, sound did not work! I googled and found this installation sequence thing and got it sorted.

kay cool, thanks cyberarmy, what if i buy a sound card, might the sound work then??

A stand alond sound card will not have this problem. Although usually onboard HD sound is good enough for most people.......
