Why u wanna buy a new sound card? That's a new mobo rite? You shud try n get it to work instead man, I've been using Gigabyte mobo's for years and no such problems. Have had a few, but minor.

Yup, I strongly recommend you try to sortout the onboard Souncard problem first.

yeah, so i'm gonna take it back and exchange and see if the newer one works then i dont need one, but if prob still exists then and only then shall i get a sound card, found one R400

ok guys, so i never exchanged my mobo but i'm going to re-install XP and then install the drivers in sequence and etc. do u think it'll work then(the auido)???
