Australian Man Shot Dead By Killer Robot

An Australian man has been shot in the head four times by a killer robot that he’d built himself.

The man had built the robot following demands by interstate relatives that he move out of his unit and into an aged care facility.

He left notes detailing his suicide plans.

The 81 year old Gold Coast man set the machine up in his driveway on Tuesday morning at 7am, and set it in motion.

The robot was connected to an automatic pistol, and fired four bullets into his head once activated.

Does this constitiute suicide seen as he didn't pull the trigger himself even though he built the robot. Thaught it may be seen as a grey area?

I would say this is suicide.

Robots aren't intelligent as of yet, or at least his wasn't so I don't think it's really a grey area. If he builds a contraption that he has to pull something, like a pulley system it would probably still constitute as suicide and this is really no different. They just labelled the contraption as a robot.

If you make something to kill you then its suicide. Although this does go against the 3 laws of robotics
