i've been getting invalid username/password errors on my two TelkomISP 512 accounts lately, and it seems i can only have one connection per account at a time. also, even though it is stuill uncapped, since tonight one of my accounts refuses to connect...

can anyone confirm - i've heard that THEY (telkom) are having auth problems lately?

Yes they have aut problems plus many others .. :)
 
From about 2 weeks ago it seems like after you disconnect the session doesnt reset. I use 5 accounts doing 4 sessions and have being having endless problems lately. Phone 10215 and they will reset the sessions for you
 
I also have 5 telkom accounts. One is hard capped, the rest are less than 500Mb each... Luckily I can connect to one of them for now. The other 3 are in DENY mode :)
 
I heard they upgraded their authentication servers a few weeks ago and everything isn't running smoothly yet.

Not a new problem - http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php?t=50568 Have you tried calling customer service? They should be able to sort it out pretty swiftly once you manage to actually speak to someone.
 
Sounds like the same message I heard the other day when I was having problems with concurrent session. They sorted it while I was speaking to them.
 
TI is and has been down for a long time Authentication and radius sessions. ( I suggest dont call in u gonna wait long - u could pm me your usernames and i could doctor it for u too )
 
Hi all, I have just called Telkom and they gave me a reference number to be able to claim a refund from Telkom for the time that I could not connect but, this reference number applies to all. So all you interested in claiming can quote reference number 8651 once the authentication problem is resolved. :) Lets all get something back from Telkom :)

Really? Wow, unexpected from telkom... Never thought they would actually do something like this.
 
well there has been ALOT of time spent offline with regards to authentication problems. How will they actually work that out?

Indeed.. Maybe the R250 divided by 30 days = R8.33 per day you were offline...
I can't imagine that telkom would also refund us for time wasted, work not getting done etc.

Anyways, I've only got 3MB left on my prepaid account, so, until telkom fixes their problems, cheers! :(
 
Eish, I've got my cellphone connected to my pc now... using cellc gprs. Oddly, not bad speeds...

Anyways, has anyone had any luck wrt the authentication problems?
This is getting out of hand, a whole day now! Eish...
 
Currently authentication for ADSL users have been moved to new radius servers
[edit] but every1 should be connected now [/edit]
