Authentication Problems?

I've been having problems since lastnight from about 8pm connecting to WBS.

My current setup uses a Linksys WRG54G connected by PPPOE to the Old UTD Modem. The router won't connect, so I connected the UTD to my Windows XP PC and it wouldn't connect either.

Gives a "You username and password do not exist on the domain" error.

I can still log in to my WBS e-mail account, but the bandwidth monitor login doesn't work.

Anyone else having a problem?

Im assuming you are signing in with the @iburst.co.za suffix?

They recently changed it so that you have to, but i guess you would know about this.

I had a similar problem this morning, but turned out to be death by cap.. fixed now with an extra gig. Gotta burn it quick.. only 4 days.

The day before I checked my bandwidth monitor and it was at 1.17gb.
So I doubt that is the problem.

I used the full name and domain to login.
 
Not shure about your problem then Crash, its fixed now I presume?
Or are you on another connection.

@Pilgrim, Of course.. well I never thought id actually use that feauture. Well thats pretty nice, I might as well keep some of it for next month then.. a gig is a precious thing.
 
Nah.. not working at the moment.
I just wanted to check it wasn't just me having a problem.

Stops the whole "But you are the only one with a problem sir" :eek:
 
Unfortunatley it seems like you are, or atleast im having no problems in CPT and noone else seems to be yet.

But then again, most people who cant log in, cant post on this site.
 
I'm also having no problems - exact same setup.

I'm still using @wbs.co.za to login. Try both domains.

YES!!!!!! I got the same issue. I was going to start a new post here is what it says...


Right here is problem.

I have given up trying to speak to those androids on the help desk.

For the life of me I cannot check or top up my bandwidth. I cannot log on.

I can log onto my mail and all the other services with no problem.
But if I try log onto the bandwidth monitor , it says the username or password is incorrect.

I used [email protected]
and my password

I then tried my [email protected]
and my password. And nothing !!!


I have deleted my cookies , cache internet history. Tried using a different web browser.
I have even tried from another PC.

I contacted the help desk again , and again they telling me things I already know and have done. I know my password and username. It was working well until this week..

If I contact the help desk again, I will end up murdering those “bright people”.


Has anyone else had this problem?????

Its only the bandwidth I cannot log onto everything else is fine???
 
I also had that problem until I added @wbs.co.za to the end of my user name.

After doing that it works perfectly.

I also had that problem for two weeks. I posted that in "what I think of www.iburst.co.za. I had to change my suffix from wbs to iburst.

O great! Just tried to log in now and I could log in with wbs again... Really Iburst, that's pathetic. MAKE UP YOUR MINDS!
 
I have done the @iburst.co.za and the @wbs.co.za/ And so on.

The problem comes and goes . I will just wait untill I can cancel my Iburst.
Cause I am not impressed with the product

WBS, or iBurst? Management, can we get some info PLEASE?

Not sure if it's different for different locations except if it is then thats pretty dumb of wbs.

Ed replied in the survey thread (i think). He said both wbs and iburst should work.

It's a good thing they don't charge interest. Although on debit orders you can't. But just imagine. it would've been havoc!

Well dear old ED is mistaken or someone is not telling him the truth since for me it only works with @wbs.co.za which makes me wonder about other things we are been told.:rolleyes:

Surly debit orders run through automatically every month, as if they have to do it manually for 10,000 customers every month they will never get it done.:confused:

Any of my other debit orders from other companies go through on the same date every month EXCEPT for wbs.:rolleyes:
