Hi

Any one know of a link where I can download

Better yet can anyone offer to burn me DVD / put on flash?
I stay in Paarl.

Many thanks:D

You mean like all unlicensed and piratey??? For free? Like check out the internet man. I hear they give stuff away for free on there!

I was indeed referring to Open Source Software alternatives :)
In my haste I wrote it wrong.
Thanks guys.

DId you know that the licensing for that program is alot of money per year.My uncle uses autocad for an insurance company. Its a huge program and gets updated regulatory.
I dont think you can just burn to a dvd or download it.Its like cubase program you need to get the license....... and cracks and hacks will not work 100's.Rather go for open source.

+1 on the opensource alternatives. I've played around with them and they are pretty sweet in my opinion.

I can send you AutoCAD MAP 3D 2009 DVD, copy of original, but it will only work for 30 days... I cannot send you my key (actually bought it)

If you want to learn it to become a draughtsman.. get Autocad. They have student versions for cheap.
If you want to draw plans for your woodworking project in your garage go open source.
That`s the straight and narrow.. There are always ways to pirate but us honest folk here don't know about that.

Last time I was asked to quote on Autocad it was in the region of 40 grand.

Is this the most expensive mainstream software out there ?

nope, solidworks is . . In the region of 13000 pounds if i remember correctly

nope EDEM takes the cake costs over 250k for a license and unfortunately we need it for chute simulations

.... and I thought my Altium Designer was hectic at 80 grand a couple of years back
