Hi all;

I am usually very wary of using those automatic driver finders and downloaders;

but a friend recently recommended using "driver navigator" installed it on a test machine; and am quite happy; got all my drivers for my old hardware quite easily;

but Im a bit worried about rootkits and viruses being installed even though I ran all the malware anti-malware on it and it passed;

does anybody use anything similar; that give good results?

Big download but worth it, word of warning though, if it gives the choice of a variety of onboard soundcard drivers... it has no clue which one you actually have on your board so don't install those hahaha

Why not use Windows Update?

Windows 7 Update is all I use now.
I never worry about driver disks or the likes anymore.

But on a modern OS, apart from the occasional graphics driver update you don't ever really need to update any drivers.

true, but when your like me, and on a crusade to wipe out win 8 for good:mad:
and keep getting asked to downgrade to win 7 and no drivers found on win update; and no drivers on manufacturer website; what do you do?

Slimdrivers,found even some very obscure com-to-usb adapter drivers. Smallish download. Never missed a driver yet
