One of your key objectives will be to assist with the enhancement (rewrite) of the existing automation suite of our critical core investment management application. This application enables critical business processes such as: fund administration, unitisation, pricing, corporate actions and portfolio valuations etc. You will also be responsible for running, maintaining and expanding existing automated regression suites, and designing, building, testing and deploying effective test automation solutions of other applications.

Main responsibilities
- Estimating effort for testing tasks.
- Designing, creating and implementing automated tests.
- Executing test cases manually / automated.
- Manual front end functional testing of applications – which includes system, integration, regression and end to end testing as well as exploratory testing.
- Collaborate closely with the business in identifying, logging, prioritizing and verifying defects in a defect tracking system.
- Managing and maintaining the test environments and test data.
- Develop test tools, and extend test frameworks and test environments.
- First line support and root cause analysis of production issues and proactive, friendly, transparent and efficient support service.
- Playing a central role in establishing best practices for testing in our environment.
- Continuous improvement initiatives specifically with regard to quality.
- Product risk mitigation thereby limiting defects in production.
- Project risk mitigation thereby ensuring a smooth deployment process.
- Managing and maintaining the regression test suits (manual / automated).
- Final sign-off of new releases.
Qualifications
Degree in computer science or business information systems ideal, but solid experience will be considered as well.
Skills/Competencies and experience
- Strong knowledge of UFT
- You can program: we use VBScript as our core automation language and JavaScript as a secondary language
- You know how to write SQL and have greater understanding of MS SQL Server and query optimization
- Understanding of source code management i.e. Git & SVN
- You understand the benefits of manual testing but also the costs
Advantageous
- Knowledge of C#
- Experience with TestComplete and Selenium
- Having experience testing financial applications
- You enjoy complicated numerical calculations
