What is average bill for prepaid electricity and water per month for a 1 bedroom apartment?

Work from home, more than one aircon, pool. Electricity is about 2k per month and water around R500

edit: in an apartment scratch the pool, but would still guess about 1k

Only recently moved in, but this should give you an idea. Work from home and game a bit in the evenings. Also using electric stove to cook.

You guys are seriously cheap, wow! We live in a small town, 2 adults, R800 electricity and we have a big solar geyser. Water is about 200 to 300 bucks, no pool or sprinkler system.

I pay about R650 Electric - R100 water - no free Electric or water - family of 4 - we use about 5 Kl for the month

No pool - no garden - and taps got water savers on and got a Solar panel for the Geyser so Sun heats water most days

Average tells you nothing. I get to see many different houses and apartments and it varies between R100 and R1000 for 1 bed apartments!

Some people have 2 x 20 minute shows a day, heaters and air cons on and bit coin mining... Others go to bed when its dark and are out all day!

Ps:and it REALLY matters what tariff too... In CoCT if your paying fixed water fee (60zar) and fixed electric fee (R150). Then you're paying R200 before you consume anything! Some municipalities (or certain Eskom connections) with say 100A 3 phase connection can be R400-600-800... fixed charges before you consume anything!

Surely one would notice dampness with a water loss of 22,000litres p.d. over a period of 4 months? I also think that it could be the meter being faulty.

We did report it to Tshwane but no one came to check yet. In the meantime, we are holding on to a bill for R8,500 !!
