Avert.za.org Proxy Server possibly going donation only!

update : ok my bad, i had the wrong putty config file uploaded, please redownload it and reapply it and all should be ok.

Bare in mind that the proxy test on proxifier will fail, as i have closed outbound port 80 on my server.

They way to check if its working, is to look at the grey block in the bottom right hand corner. If its full of colors while you are playing. its working.

torrents bro,

you can use freecap, widecap etc. but i have no idea to set that up

plus using proxifier allows you to "log in with your own ip" like all these other places advertise

You will have to explain to me how proxifier or any of these other proxy services allows you to log in with your own ip. If you know how routing on the internet work, it just aint possible to log in with your own ip whilst using a proxy, because if you did the packets wouldn't route back via the proxy but instead directly to your own ip. Upstream traffic might go via the proxy, but downstream certainly won't which is means the proxy is only half as effective as it should be if that were to be the case.

wows login thing just works on port 3119 and 3120. Game traffic on 3724,4000,6112,6113,6114. So if you only forward game traffic and not the login ports, when you login you will login with your own ip.

Its pretty simple.I recommend proxifier because you can choose which ports to forward. Unlike freecap which half the time crashes **** and can only forward the whole game (afaik)

Ah thx that makes sense. You can do the same with widecap as well, which I use successfully without having had to pay for it, just downloaded from the website, thought it will act like a trial, but somehow it just works.

so is there a free version of proxifier? or something that works just as well? seeing names, and conflicting opinions about programs I know zero about etc

It seems they make money now by getting people to buy into their sock5 proxy server service. But you can just use it with Putty/SecureCRT instead.

er what. Im reasonably well clued up with pc stuff. and if Im going wtf, there are many more here going, SRSLY WTF

Simple, it means they don't make money off the software, but off a hosted service which you don't need, which in turn means you get to use the software for free.

Hi,

Does anyone have a user name + password I can use to give this a try?

would be much appreciated.

Thanks

k so like, there was a disk failure in the netherlands and they decided to give everyone a new IP address. huzzuh.

so eiter redownload the putty config http://avert.za.org/dod_putty.reg

or use the following ip in putty 94.102.60.174

drop me a pm for login details, i still want to keep this sort of in control with regards to people logging in

switched ssh server to dropbear instead of openssh, lighter footprint + it seems a little bit more snappier.

You might get some cipher bs, just click yes or switch to blowfish

public holiday = new website, another server, facebook page, twitter account

time to expand

hey can some of you guys please ping 196.41.137.90 and post your results in this thread. I want to see if it would be worth while to create some multi-hop tunnel solution with a server hosted locally as well as internationally.

i dont see the problem, but i get the no connection error when i use this service, if anyone know how to fix please tell me

yeah, been playing a bit with routing locally then internationally. not really worth it at the moment

I've created a java program which will create a batch file to open all the programs one after the other once you're ready. Not sure if anyone is interested but I've uploaded it here.

It's tiny, just check it out, I've zipped it to avoid problems that I find sometimes arise when I just simply upload the jar file.

I created it a while ago but haven't gotten around to uploading it.
