Those thinking of upgrading now to v7.5 would be advised to wait awhile. It need a few things sorted out..

When you restart PC, the email virus thing automatically restarts even if you have disable it. (f irratating) and the icon down in the right hand corner stays grey, even when virus up to date.

I guess you are referring to the free version?
I am on 7.5 free and the icon doesn't stay grey for me, but i haven't tested the email thing...
 
I did google buggy 7.5 avg, and I'm not the only one with problems.

7.5 is next major upgrade for the free version.
 
IT'S FREE SO WHAT YOU EXPECT? I'm using it without any querks...
 
mine is as up to date as you can get... but still kuk.
 
Lol - I have been using 7.5 for some time now with no problems - on 2 PCs.
As for your bad luck - use another product.
 
I have had zero problems with it, and i have put it on about 8 PC's with no complaint from lusers
 
7.5 Free version here too. No problems this side.
Why does it show grey? What is the 'problem' according to AVG control center?
 
The 7.5 on my PC works fine...on my dad's pc it has to reboot every time to install any updates (defs or program). dunno why at all...
 
Mine is a bit better now, except the email scanner. I have it disabled, but when i reboot, it decides to start working again when i check email.
 
I find that if you install Outlook after AVG, it's best to reinstall AVG so that it uses the outlook email scanner and not the regular personal email scanner
