AVG free & Firefox

How do you actually let these two work together? i heard Firefox & AVG makes an excellent combination... Or is just installing AVG free automatically configures to block spywares when using FF....

What do you mean exactly?

I use Firefox 2.x, AVG 7.5 free, and I use a custom hosts file on my squid (proxy server) which blocks most of the bad spyware sites, I disable java by default with the Noscript plugin and no hassles!
