My security suite at the mo is eWido, AVG free and Outpost firewall.
I swopped from eWido 2 weeks ago so we'll see how that goes but seems to be doing a good job.
I switch from ZA free to outpost a few months ago and the major difference between the 2 is outpost has more config options and full logs.
MS Anti spyware seems to be good but what does it send back to MS is my concern.
I havent used Xoftspy so i cant comment on that is it free ? I might give it a shot then.
The best part about the current slapped together security on my pcs is its FREEEE !!!
Ms has defender which works nicely too(upgrade from antispyware) but i installed in on my machine and while looking for free space deleted the install folder.. and then uninstalled it/deleted it from my system trying to get rid of it since you can't upgrade it without right *.msi in xp/install folder anyone know how to fix that?
Had the same before. Always interesting to see what people think of different software, I suppose it is the same as anti-virus distro's. I personally hate Trend because it does not pick up a virus even if you direct it to the infected file, other people love the product. I distribute XoftSpySE and what people like or dislike of the product in South Africa (this is not advertising), but purely giving feedback to Canada of how to improve the product. Also does the South African market really know what spyware is and maybe when they download the free anti-spyware programs, that spyware is not attached to these programs already?
