I want to put my illegally downloaded episodes of Lost Season 4 on a dvd for my friend. He doesn't have a pc to watch the avi's on, or a DVD-player that can play divx.

Last time I tried this I used Nero and made a VCD DVD.
I got about 2 episodes on a dvd and the quality was watchable,

but... (and there's always a but) ...

The sound started off OK, but after a few minutes it started to fall behind.
After ten minutes it becomes very annoying and after about 20 minutes really confusing.

How and with what can I do this better?

a program like any video converter should do the trick. i haven't tested mine out yet, but according to the description from charge magazine, the program should be able to assist

ps: i like the disclaimer, its something new

try VSO convertXtoDVD :)

very simple little tool and it does an ok-ish job of menus and everything

if you add like 4 episodes the quality comes out quite good, but you can stretch it to 6 episodes (45 min each) and not lose too much quality. the tool automatically resizes to fit onto the disc

DVDFlick can turn the episodes back into DVD... you should be able to get 4 to 6 episodes onto a DVD...

interesting! *click click click*

hmmm! open sauce! must try!

biggest problem is not the software, it is the time. It takes a long time to convert everything back to DVD.

my advice is buy an el cheapo DVD player that plays DivX.

I can get them here in Jeppestown for R240.00
