Hey Guys

I just saw this and found it pretty cool, MSI has a new website dedicated to gaming hardware http://gaming.msi.com/ they have guide on a lot from overclocking to setting up multiple displays and even performance charts, and with that they have made a questionnaire in which they ask gamers what hardware and features they use most on their Motherboards, giving you a chance to answer and actually change features to your needs/wants.

the Questionnaire is available here http://gaming.msi.com/promotion/gaming-questionnaire

Plus you actually stand a chance to win prizes after answering.

I find this pretty cool as there a some features that I never use on my motherboard and I think could be cut to make room for something else or to cut costs, I have not seen other manufacturers do this before but I find it pretty awesome.

I agree, MSI is crap.

I dunno. MSI's 990FXA-GD80 is one of the finest socket AM3+ boards on the planet and their Lightning and Hawk cards are top-notch. They've been putting a lot of effort into improving their brand these last four years and it's paying off.

I was referring to their graphics cards and laptops, primarily.

I guess it depends on what you're buying, then. I've recently picked up a Sapphire R7 265 because MSI's Gaming version was completely retarded having only one DVI, HDMI and VGA port. No DP 1.2 at all.

Isn't MSI a ripoff of gigabyte, like asrock is a ripoff of Asus?

No, they're their own separate entity. Gigabyte is also its own company, but ASRock and ASUS are related.

On the whole, Gigabyte, BioStar and ASRock have been the only manufacturers that make sensible mid-range boards for the Haswell generation. I have no idea what ASUS think they're doing for the motherboards that don't fall into the ROG family. MSI seems to be trying on Nichon caps again for their budget boards and God help them if they have another firestarter situation.
