Hi MightyMuffinMan

Please email your contact details to [email protected], will get a tech to assist...thanks.. DM

Hi I have a 21 mbps Hauwei dongle (I own 2 data bundle sims) and experienced problems connecting after installing Win 7 64 bit and this occurred after the recent network upgrade.

I posted the problem (see above) on Friday and was instructed to contact cell c customer service, So I sent them an e-mail. Ididnt really expect a reponse but...

yesterday i receive a phone call from a Cell C rep who questioned me about the problem: Problem ffg win 7 64 bit upgrade to SP1 (driver problem?)
Faulty dongle (unlikely as it works with my router sometimes)
Netowork Problem: get error 628 unable to authenticate or connection suddenly drops even though mobile partner says still connected.
Speeds: i used to get approx 8-10 Mbps download spped and lagless gaming but now slowed down to 1-2 Mbps with lag spikes.

Today: Cell C engineer/tech phones me and says he will come by my place to test the signal and my OS. Due to my working hours we agreed to Monday afternoon.

Although this matter is far from over I would like to thank Cell C for the exceptional customer caare that i received. They really deserve a pat on the back for this.

I'll post an update next week some time.

If u have no luck try the unofficial dash its got V4.20 drivers as opposed to CellC's V4.17
I run the same W7 64bit OS + SP1 on the E1820 also & got no problems

No,Mobile Partner only works for the hauwei modems.

had a visit from the Cell C engineer in Durban. He basically tested the PC (even though no official support to test pc due to varying drivers etc), dongle and network.

Problem identified as: Dongle has intermittent disconnections, I have to get a replacement in store.
