Hi All,

so I visited the AWS stand at rage, gave them my details, didn't hear back from them till earlier this week,

guy called me, had a telephonic interview with me, said I didn't do too badly,
said he'll get back to me later in the week,

earlier today get the link to do the AWS tech challenge, rules are quite clear, only have 1 hour from time its received to complete it......
says its submitted, but haven't got anything in my gmail yet? checked spam, nada,

how long do these things usually take, should I contact the guy directly and ask why I haven't got anything?


I don't want to find out it releases the mail at 22:30 and at near midnight I have to complete it....

I suppose that's one rather evil way to separate the men from the boys:twisted:

cant be Im the only one who had to do this, sure a few forumites here know whats going on there?

AWS in the early stages are like the army. Hurry Up and Wait.
Their response and screening is slow.

However that all changes if they move to face to face.
Then they are in acquisition mode and act very fast

Rdc into x and figure out why fqdn not working

Need to warn people, Its a practical and you need internet not behind a firewall.

I just thought its one of those standard a,b,c,d type questions,

Hopefully ill be able to do it properly when I'm back home, hope my token doesn't expire.

Anybody here done that test before?

Cloud support based in cpt, had the telephonic already with me,

But their damn funny stories with their practical that wont open for me!
I tried with 3 different internets and multiple ways, but the darn thing wont open.

Can't you just test people like everybody else?
Multiple choice and that's that?

Are you a dev or a sys admin out of interest?

How much networking / bash / programming experience do they expect?
 
Have fun with the interview if they fly you down. At least you won't have to deal with one particular hard as **** to please friend I used to have, as he's since moved into a different position.
 
I've done one practical project & 2 telephonic interviews so far.

My advice is to check up with them periodically. If you don't the recruiters seem to only follow up after a long while.
