Howdy,

Can anyone else with Axxess accounts confirm that they are having issues (a) connecting to the ADSL network, and (b) once connected, absolutely no service whatsoever?

Shot mateys.

p.s. Thinking of moving... Can anyone offer me accounts at a reasonable rate that have ~4 concurrent connections? Need 2 or 3 10-15gb ones.

I had no probs with SAOL*saix* Cheetah and Openweb from what i heard for IS seem to rock

No problems on either of these points.

Cheers

grrrr. i cant connect via axxess either - seems like there is a problem. thanks goodness for V3G...

I'm on Axxess from Cape Town, got nothing all evening. Have to use dial-up to get online at all.
They don't answer their support line phones either, and this happens way too often, so I'm done with Axxess and will be find a new ISP from January!

hrm mebbe the authentication issues return ? i moved.. so don't know.

Same here in Johannesburg. Have had the problem from around 3:00 pm today.

Also down

Well it seems that I am also down. The link light on my router is on and since last night I can't connect to anything. Judging from everyone else's complaints I it is probably an Axxess problem. I am using my cellphone to check the forum in desperation! Do Axxess read these forums because if not they should!

Same problems with Axxess. I've already cancelled. This is my last month with them.

It makes you wonder what went wrong with Axxess..

I just got through to the Axxess support -- first time since last night. It turns out my account was suspended for lack of payment! I have a direct debit with them and since October, they haven't taken payment from my account. I didn't bother to check this as it was an automated payment. So basically, they stopped debiting my account, and then suspended me for lack of payment! And then I couldn't get through to their support lines for 18 hours.
Anyone else having problems - check your bank statements!
I've just sent them my cancellation letter.

What would be the best number to use to get hold of Axxess? I haven't phoned yet and I already know it's going to be an uphill battle.

I got through on 041 374 0134 -- the website also lists 0861 300 900.
Once I spoke to them they sorted it out quickly and I was online in a couple of minutes, so it's worth the call.

I had exactly the same problem. When i got through to the office this morning, the bloke got me connected almost instantly again. Im also a debit order customer, and i checked my statement - no debit order from them came through. Some buggerup with their accounts dept i guess. Anyway, i'll sort it out on Monday, for now my link is working.

unbloodybeliveable I had the same thing no Debit Order since October , how do people run a company like this ?? Hasnt it dawned on them yet that they havent had an income ??

I've always been on their side, but now I have to say they are ****ing idiots.

I phoned them 3 times last month telling them my account wasnt debited so all of yesterday I had no service either, and then this morning once I called, the support guy pretended like nothing was wrong and told me to restart my router.

And then when it worked he was like - oh that was just your router. I'm definitely cancelling.

It's sad to see the guys at AXXESS letting it slip so far. Dont they see whats coming??
