Axxess Cell C LTE - Still down....

However, Axxess' coverage maps shows that the all my clients are indeed covered, even checked on other ISP's websites and the coverage maps show the same.

Yes, it's not just Axxess. My office have CellC LTE SIM's with Webafrica & Mweb and they are also not connecting :(

There was comms. Just unreasonably short notice. Call your reseller and ask for the comms.

Yet again, check fixed-lte and not LTE/LTEA.

Also looking at timestamp, im sure your area is mtn roaming thats why. Comms informs of changes.

3G will never work on lte only product. Lte is IP based network. Your router just going to loop whole time...

I am registered as a reseller with Axxess, but their support is literary non-existent.

Will PM you shortly.

I did check at Cell C's website for Fixed LTE and not their Normal LTE/LTE-A, and I am covered.

I am aware that 3G will never work as it would just loop around all the time..

I can confirm that this is all ISP's - all ISP's are bound by IS' MSA and that, which states that they are not allowed to sell/supply any SIM/Service outside of the coverage maps provide by them.

Now I have SIMs from Afrihost, Axxess, Coolhost, Cloud Telecoms, MWEB and WebAfrica (all which had adequate coverage at the time of signing up) but now each and every single one of them remain unusable, in confirmed areas of FIXED LTE... :(

This is going to cause lots of companies out in the field to lose business/clients... :(

If they dont fix this within this week. I am going to cancel this NEW week old sim. I have been without internet for two months . canceled telkom and went with this... My patience can only go so far !!

Internet also went off friday around 1am ish

A week is too long to be honest, most of us have clients offline for more four days already - over a long weekend with kids home on the long weekend and everybody jumping down our throats because they have no internet.

My patience due to the lack of support from ALL ISP's (both normal selling to clients and then those who offer Reseller Facilities), is UP! I really, really don't know anymore.

I changed about 25 clients from MTN packages to Cell C for two reasons 1. of course pricing 2. coverage. Cell c coverage is far better suddenly here than MTN (LTE and 3G) or any other network for that matter, although I am not aware of any Cell C towers here.
None of them work any longer Q: How can I find out who has a genuine tower or not? ISPs are only too happy to sell (e.g. if not on the map, you can say "I know I have coverage")

Got a response from a cellc agent ...

But it's just a generic one. (We are doing upgrades on the network) bs

They wanted me to fill in a form etc

I am busy moving today so will do it inbetween, not like anything will come of it anyways.

Someone mentioned a fix that has sortof worked for him but i don't have a b315 router, mine is the mifi e5577 variant. So it's either into the lte phones or the lte device.

Once I am done moving, I am going to start looking for another provider. I can't believe this is how my free month has to go ! 5 days out of the free month already went up in smoke, how will the rest of the time be ?

I got the sim last week monday, had 4 days of nice internet and since then its exactly like telkom. (Makes you think if they haven't been taken over already)

Can we make a list of ISPS that are down with cellc fixed internet ?

I have checked network outage pages for mweb / WA/ but can't find anything related to outages with cellc fixed lte.

Afrihost has removed their outage

So who else is still offline then ?

Im on axxess and its still down

I spoke to Axxess support. They say that it seems the IS cellc user accounts or ports have been deleted.
Now they have to re-create each one.
They asked me for my details.
Sim.
Imei.
Router serial.
Etc etc....
HOPEFULLY I get connected soon.

Fixed wireless customers unable to connect needs to check coverage on the Cell C map for fixed wireless.

A lot of people who was connecting can no longer connect as Cell C has stopped roaming for fixed wireless customers on the MTN network as it is too costly. This is why you will have no service.

They will also not investigate this as an issue because if there is no coverage there is no coverage.

I had 100% signal. And the covarage map shows I am covered extensively.

The "roaming" option via my router was never switched on. So it never used any other mobile network to roam to.

As Axxess support explained to me. A whole bunch of user port allocations were deleted and they are now logging each one to re-create each user port.

Where did you get this info from?

I second that

Phoned axxess, awesome techy sipho took down my details and sent it straight to IS . said I have to keep restarting every few hours until sim kicks in.

The sim was working (non roaming) so it is definitely a provider problem. My other lte sims arent roaming either and are working on cellc. Just the fixed one is offline

Your device roaming is not needed to be enabled if they share resources. EG. Rain and Vodacom shares LTE-A resources without it indicating roaming.

Thank you for this info.
But how does that affect us as users? I made pretty sure that my area was 100% covered by cell c. The newly updated maps from Axxess (as advertised) boasted that my area was covered.
This is breached of my agreement with them? I paid in advance for my connection each month.

Use Cell C's map and untick all products except fixed wireless. If your address is purple you have coverage, if not then you will have issues. Unfortunately The ISP's get the info for their maps from the Providers, eg. Rain / Cell C.

The maps were corrected in November to only show the correct coverage.
