The boys in the Axxess marketing department are like drug pushers. They gave me a taste of real internet over the weekend for R99 and I loved it. I was torrenting at 300-400k while playing Warcraft on the EU servers (using vent at the same time). Youtube was downloading faster than I could watch and virus / windows updates were downloaded and installed with barely a ripple. Forget downstorm and the rest, with this you don't need them

That ended last night as I had to cancel (part of the special's conditions) else I would have been billed R999 to continue the fun. Now I feel like I need to make a plan to get my fix. Those marketing boys need to be given a beating...

I am in EXACTLY the same situation. The taste of real internet versus our current setup, you just cannot compare it.

Can you be guaranteed that the kind of levels you experienced over the weekend will always be maintained?

I'm currently on there 512kb uncapped express fiber and i can tell you that the 10gb threshold is a pain but damb at night & weekends there is no better offer on the market :) i tried the afrifail & Mwabbles and they arnt even close the the level these guy's are on.
me and the wife on wow with between 250 - 500ms depending on what downloads we run in the background.
i can actually raid again XD

I have been using their fibre express since March 2009. The account virtually never has problems, and I have been downloading on it between 300 and 700GB per month, each month. The only possible issue I would have with it, is I have seen a definite general decrease in overall speed this year by 30/40Kbytes. So my utorrent application is showing a top speed decrease of 30/40Kbytes slower than last year. I don't have a reason for it, though I suspect it is due to the uptake of cheap uncapped as other service providers that I have accounts with, with the exception of WebAfrica, have shown a general trend of being slower overall and higher latency this year.

Now you making me jealous!!! :) I am only on the 384 Fibre - but this is what I have being saying on this forum for a long time now. The Express Fibre package has always delievered the "goods" in my opinion. It is certainly not the cheapest around, but money well spent. No other package compares as far as I am concerned. ;)

You can't be guaranteed of anything as long as you are on consumer-grade accounts. Read any of the ISPs' Terms & Conditions on consumer accounts and you will see there are no Service Levels or guarantees.

If you want guarantees you have to pay for them, by purchasing business-grade accounts.

I think that he meant that they wont shape the service for no reason or have excessive down times. Basically a better service delivery than the other providers.

Problem is when u get one of their normal uncapped accounts, its laggy like ****, the latencies are high as hell.
