Axxess Congestion?

Heya All

For the past couple of months I have been experiencing extremely bad speeds on Axxess during peak periods (7PM - 10PM), outside of these I have near full line speed. I have both a Axxess uncapped account with a static IP and a VOX Fat pipe connected simultaneously. While the Axxess account speeds are so bad that I can not even start a Netflix stream, the moment I swop over to the VOX account I can have multiple streams in full HD over the same DSL line. Every time I send a response to the support ticket its the same routine, numerous traceroutes and speedtests requested. This normally follows with a "your account has been refreshed" response which does jack sh*t (probably just resets the shaping profile on the account).

This reeks of congestion issues the same as what Afrihost experienced years back when they blamed Telkom IPC (which coincidentally is also why I left Afrihost). I would just like to confirm if this is just me, or if other people are having the same speed issues the last while?

Surprisingly my account has been doing well the past week. I am on a 8mb line and my YouTube videos auto to 1080p60fps and i can stream twitch on 720p and rarely buffers. I can't comment on Netflix or Showmax as i don't have subscription with either

Downloads are flying even torrents are doing extremely well.

Latency is also great. Local: 20ms. International: 195-205ms

Yip, having the same issues and I'm on a capped fibre account with Axxess - their service & support is shocking, suggest moving to CW

Currently on AXXESS capped internet and some times I also have high latency between 7-10pm but when I have this issue sodoes my Clan mates that's not on AXXESS so the issue is not with AXXESS but somewhere else. Most of the time my internet works fine and I get my full line speed

Bottom line is most if not all providers have there own shaping or latency issues and even the odd congestion issues...Axxess might not always have the very best network performance. But the one thing that makes them stand out slightly. The support and billing dep. Is excellent. And I have tried different providers this year alone. That's maybe why folks are sticking with axxess? My 2 cents. (Pricing isn't to bad either)

Axxess 20Mbps (2nd Telkom Line)

So at the beginning of 2016 we got adsl, as a recommendation and doing research on my own,
I made a decision and went with Axxess, now I'm not one to badmouth companies but I was informed
that they prioritize streaming and gaming even while being "managed",
I found out that on a 20Mbps Uncapped package the so called non existent FUP is 200GB!
That's a little over 6.45GB a day and we are a household of 4 with severed ties to monochoice,
we stream/game and use social media on a daily basis. Now with that being said could somebody explain why I am getting packet loss and less than 4.5Mbps because Speedtest.Net is kind of useless imo when it comes to legitimate testing. (I believe isp's route speedtest.net traffic via unmanaged routes) please see the pics I included. Our usage is about 300/400GB a month. axxess kak.png axxess kak.png 2.png axxess kak 3.png pissing me off now.png speedkak.png

Hi bud, I'm also with axxess and have been jumping from provider to provider the passed 6 months. I don't have any issues gaming or streaming on 20Mbps. Where are you based? And could you post your line stats?

I don't know if this is the right place to post, but don't want to make another thread for just one fault. What should be the ping when going to Telkoms exhange? Mine seems a bit high as I ran Zerptop's LineTool and i get average 36ms which seems a bit high for pinging the Exchange ?

Zertop's LineTool Results
Date/Time: Mon Aug 28 10:03:53 CAT 2017

Basic Report:

Your packet loss was 0%.
Your average ping was 36ms.
Your maximum ping was 58ms.

Looking at your average ping, your line seems to be a bit dodgy. This may account for any slow speeds you may be experiencing. However, it could just be related to a high-latency home network (eg... Wi-Fi). If you feel the need, please post the results (at the end of the program) into the forum for advice!

So the ping graphs have been running for a while now. For informational purposes I added both Google's DNS and a International machine I have root access to. International packet loss during peak periods is still horrendous, local is a bit better, but there is still regular packet loss during peak times (during these times my Vox fatpipe account, which is concurrently connected drops no packets, and latency is normal).

I am yet to receive any sort of reply from the @TheAxxessLady. I sent through my account details on 15/08/2017 as requested. I give up, seems like its time to move on. Any recommendations on a ISP?
