AXXESS Down - Again!

Just phoned them - they said they're currently experiencing authentication issues!

Aaaaaand still down. Afrihost seem to be having authentication issues too!!!

What's the common denominator here? MTN?? Everywhere you go?
 
Any other reseller of axxess here. Month end down the tubes. many unhappy clients to face tomorrow, pressure always on us, never on the isp itself
 
it seems like they don't answer their phones either! and their system does not cap already connected sessions.
im past almost a gig already on my capped account!
the control panel does not log in either.

man im glad i moved over to Telkom internet at least their usage information is always up to date and when i phone they actually answer.

EDIT: still holding on the phone 17 minutes now!

It is one big middle finger to their customers. As usual...

indeed but what i want to find out is why is my account not capping it was downgraded to a 1GB in the beginning of the month and then canceled for month end (March) when i moved over to TI but now already going over 2GB and still downloading.
im afraid they gonna tell me to pay for the extra that i have used.
i would also like to check it on the control panel but it's not working, so they are not leaving me with alot of options here to make sure of my usage.

Just log in to your router and change the internet settings to the new Telkom account...

Yes but i want to use up the data that is left on my axxess account before it is cancelled on midnight.
but now im not hundred percent sure how much data is left as it is still going, it might be more that 1GB but as i said im not sure.
as i cannot go check if there was maybe still 3GB left then it makes sense that the account is still working but if it is supposed to be 1GB and i go over what are the they gonna do about it let it go or charge me for the extra data.

But the way they handle theses kinds of problems they could have at least posted on Mybroadband or Facebook or their own website about the issues they are having and that we should not reset our sessions and that the control panel is unavailable.

would take them 2 minutes to do it, instead of everybody trying to phone them and clogging up the whole call center.
keep the call center open for people that might need assistance with adding data or resetting passwords since the control panel is busted.
 
Afrihost authentication solved ?

Afrihost seem to be having authentication issues too!!!

Has Afrihost authentication been sorted out for the rest of you ?

I'm still unable to log onto my 1GB account - has been this way since yesterday morning.

Thankfully have other ISPs to choose from, but in the meantime, have seen nothing in the Client Zone this morning stating there's still a problem or it's been resolved.

Would appreciate some feedback !
 
Nope - issue still exists on Axxess and Afrihost too i'm assuming. This is so farked up!

All in all pathetic service from Axxess - and as mentioned by other posters - not even the decency to post an update or ETA on fix - NADA!

Couldnt agree more! All things considered, this is so not the way to conduct business nowadays - especially with competition the way it is. Need to revise my options ASAP.
 
Nope - issue still exists on Axxess and Afrihost too i'm assuming.

Thanks for confirming Axxess still a mess - must therefore assume Afri. the same & that 'all roads lead (back) to' MTN !

Amazing that this would happen on the last day of the month when people on capped would've wanted to use up remaining data.
 
Many folk warned Afrihost/Axxess about going into business with MTN but they were adamant it was the right move.

I'm sure their bottom line has improved in terms of gross profit on accounts sold. The cancellations they do get from unhappy customers and loss of income is likely to be negated by improved margins.

Disappointing to say the least but just another business day shrouded in mediocrity and uselessness.

I think the telecoms sector is generally sub standard in SA but when you partner with what could be arguably the worst of a pathetic bunch what results do you expect??

EDIT: Will be interesting to see if capped clients that got disconnected yesterday and haven't been able to reconnect get compensated in some way. Afrihost has been doing a lot of this lately and I have been the beneficiary of over 100gb in the last 35 days. I do believe their offer is sincere and their approach to customer service top notch. Why they would partner with a service provider notorious for poor service is beyond me.

.. and, MTN must have sold them a wonderful story, to get them on-board.

but as you also stated :

Screw Axxess. **** product and service. Been down for 24hrs. Will be contacting them to reverse the debit order for this month so I can change ISPs
