Axxess experiencing connectivity issues on MTN data services

My prepaid MTN SIM that I use for Axxess Data went dead somewhere over the past weekend.

Axxess sent my to MTN, so I went to a shop on Tuesday

According the the MTN shop, my SIM went offline as I didn't use it for calls (which I don't). It got reactivated somewhere around 14:00 on Tuesday.
 
Axxess MTN Outage still not resolved,
In one instance, we were told to change the APN, but not to anything new - instead, delete the APN and add it again using the same APN name. This instruction makes no sense. Driving 150 kilometers to a client to delete their APN settings and then name it the exact same thing on the same SIM card seems pointless. How would this be any different than simply switching the router off, waiting a while, and allowing it to register again? Everything remains the same - the SIM, the device, and the APN name. This situation reflects extremely poor handling by Axxess, and the service, along with the support advice, has been sliding downhill.

Its the same as when they tell you to default the router and set it up again
