Axxess fallen over?

Was having slow speed so I reset my modem now I can't authenticate and can't log in to control panel and can't get hold of them on support either.

Certainly seems to be the case, of course it might be that because I cancelled as of 1 Dec they've kicked me off early.

When calling tech support you get the message: "Sorry, the dialed number is busy." and then you get cut off. :(

Cannot report Telkom Internet faults. Once manage to fill in info on their website, after waiting for ages, when pressing the final button, guess what the website trow me back where I started..
I cannot ping neither access Telkom's website. Huge balls up with Telkom Internet.

:erm: not too sure what this has to do with Axxess ... BTW I can login to Telkom OK from my TI account.
 
After waiting 10+ minutes for them to answer the phone, the agent informed me that he sent an email to the developers about the issue, but did not sound very concerned about it. Are they even working on a Sunday?

If it was my business, I would have been in turbo mode to get it back up asap.

The same thing just happened to me :( Wish I'd checked here before restarting the modem, slow is better than dead.
 
Just spoken to them, things should be back up in about an hour. So lets see
 
It's (still) the same with 2 Afrihost accounts, as well as 2 Axxess accounts.
So it seems logging onto either Axxess or Afrihost is an issue, and seeing as they fall under the same MTN umbrella, so to speak, the move to MTN wasn't a great one.

Never have had this happen in the past, where all Afri. & Axxess accounts are all out at the same time.
Fortunately, I've other ISP's available to use.
 
Afrihost does not seem to know about it.

Hope Axxess/AfriHost have a SLA with MTN with some serious penalties for downtime.

I'm guessing that this outage is going to be the final straw for some people who were considering staying with them for December and they'll be cancelling before the day's out (25th being the cut-off date for cancellations).
 
This is soooo annoying. I wonder who is to blame for the authentication problem, MTN or AH ?!?!
If it's MTN's fault, i'm definitely leaving in December.
 
I moved my room and took out the modem and when I plugged it back in I couldn't get on I thought I did something wrong so I struggled for hours now so the internet is definitely dead on axess?
 
How the heck can this take the whole bloody damn day to sort out?

Are they having a braai again while the system grinded to a halt? :mad:

/Goes off to cancel 10Mb/s uncapped account.

Not sure if this has anything to do with it but...

There are major power outages in PE today (CBD through to Walmer and surrounds) apparently. If Axxess is still operated from here (PE) maybe this has something to do with it? (Just speculating.)

Axxess / Afrihost = lots of problems lately, huh? I feel for you guys.
I'm running full speed as always *cough* OpenWeb *cough* :p

(I swear OpenWeb needs to start paying me some kind of commission or something! :D )

Dream on, they reckon the reason debit orders are mandatory is because they've cut costs to the bone (cough, cough :whistle:)

When they start accepting EFT & credit cards they might see some of my business and you might be in with a chance :D
