Ordered the sim only 200GB Cell C fixed wireless option from axxessDSL on the 1st. Ordering process on the website gave the impression that I would receive my full 200 GB for the 1st month. Turns out allocated data is calculated from the day of delivery and not the day you placed the order. It took them twelve days to deliver the sim card to Cape Town so I lost out on about 87 GB worth of data.

Hi Werner, Prorata Data is calculated from the date of delivery as per our T's&C's below:

Axxess will deliver the SIM free of charge and provide the client with FREE prorata data from the date of delivery until the end of that month. Clients will only start paying for their monthly data the month following delivery (first renewal month). Please note that service changes such as upgrades, downgrades and cancellations can only be requested from the month following delivery (first renewal month).

Exactly this, and exactly why I canceled. They give you 2 options :
1. First month free or,
2. Free router

So I took option 1 as I already have a router. I received the sim 2 weeks later and only got 30gb of the original supposed to be 100gb. Will the guys who opted for the router also only get 30% of their router?. The router is valued at R1600, 100gb is valued at R530. Me opting for the 100gb was already a good gesture from my side as I did not want to waste a companies money unnecessarily. Then Axxess's decide F that, lets give him 30GB to the value of +- R150.

This is a promotion, you cannot go "pro-rata" on free data on a promotion. Or you give me my full 100gb or the router. Otherwise there is no real value in for me.
I logged multiple calls, complained on FB, all these guys did was ignore me, I got 1 "pro-rata" message which I tried disputing which was also ignored.

So ja Axxess, you lost me as a customer forever. Since i'm the family & friends "IT guy", I will also not recommend you. Not because of your deceitful deals, but rather your total lack of after sales support.

Glad to hear some else understands my frustration. Feels like false advertising to me.

I've been advised by someone that works in the industry to lay a complaint with ASA (The Advertising Standards Authority of South Africa) and the Ombudsman.

I've lodged a complaint with ASA and notified axxess and cellc about the complaint via twitter.

Be prepared to be ignored to death.

I even informed them that I will pay them back the R150 for the measly 30gb they gave me so that they can also send me a router, which to me sounds fair. Still waiting on the feedback (probably about 3 months back)

Best is to cancel and move over to Mweb/Ignite and take the free router.

Lesson learned with Axxess.
