AXXESS KICKED INTO TOUCH

How did you get one of those 1000 free trials? Is that a uncapped trial account?

They were giving away a month of uncapped 512kbps account or R299 off the R539 for a 4mb line to the first 1000 people who gave in their details on their freetheweb facebook site.

I already got 2 emails saying they are gonna contact me next week with the details and probably my adsl username and password.

ahhhhh I take it that I am to late then

Keep us posted as to the speeds and how much you can download.

I cancelled axxess, then went to MWEB with their new special.

Big mistake! I download max 200kb/s after hours and max 50kb/s during day with Mweb.

With Axxess I download 470kb/s plus after hours, plus their overall speed is much faster than Mweb as it is unshaped after hours.

Axxess FTW!!

You havent read Mweb's t&C's properly, did you? Their uncapped adsl offerings are shaped during business hours, and unshaped after hours. I really don't see what the fuss is about - this is to ensure that all Mweb's users have a consistent surfing experience during office/working hours without some downloaders ruining it for them.

But, back to the topic - I used axxess back then when it was convenient to buy a 1Gb account from Engen/PnP - and there wasn't too much difference in pricing on the various accounts. But when AfriHost and G-Connect released their lower-pricing data plans, I went over to AfriHost.

Before Mweb's price reduction, nobody did much to lower their tariffs - but now after this reduction, all the ISP's have to respond to this - or they'll be left without customers. Competition FTW.
