any other axxess clients thinking of switching ISP? i did e-mail them and asked what they gonna do about mweb's new prices, coz i dont wanna switch ISP's
the reply was that mweb is offering a other product than the 384 express+ and that they are not gonna change their prices for now
to me it seems mweb actually have a beter product, coz during the day only downloads are shaped and browsing,youtube an skype is fast, and after hours u can get full speed on everything
axxess is mostly slow during the day on everything and only fast after hours

I'm telling you , if I had the choice between axxess and mweb, I would choose mweb over axxess with out a doubt! . I had axxess for a month and while it was good , during the day, it is unusable. At mweb, while downloads are shaped quite a bit (100 kB/s, during the day ofcourse) , everything else is 100% which is amazing ! YouTube is insanely good on mweb day/night . Really, well done mweb, you guys are going to make loads of money! Inside sources tell me CEOs of the other companys are in for some trouble and are very upset at this amazing move.
Well I just canceled my Axxess account (uncapped) - gave them plenty of time to come to the party but they failed.
Their service was good but their prices now suck
I cancelled axxess, then went to MWEB with their new special.
Big mistake! I download max 200kb/s after hours and max 50kb/s during day with Mweb.
With Axxess I download 470kb/s plus after hours, plus their overall speed is much faster than Mweb as it is unshaped after hours.
Axxess FTW!!
well well afrihost also gonna match or maybe undercut mweb's prices next week, so axxess really needs to make a plan or i'm gonna go.
so far it seems like we gonna have a choice of 4 ISP's with nice priced uncapped.

Agreed. The quality of Axxess is unmatched. I've tried Afrihost (still using them for daytime use) and WebAfrica recently and none of them give me the level of performance I get from Axxess. I'm not saying Afrihost, WebAfrica etc are bad, I just find Axxess to be worth the extra $$ (would love a price cut though
).

Also cancelled my Axxess Express Plus account this week. Will wait until the end of the month to see which uncapped service to join. Very impressed that Afrihost are joining the party next week. Can't wait to see what they come up with.

I use them just for online gaming. The latency the connection gives is awesome. Only use 1 to 2 gigs a month though.
For everything else I use afrihost 50 gig account and pretty soon probably one of their uncapped accounts.

yeah agreed their speed after hours are really good, and if they want they don't even have to drop their prices.
But can we atleast get full speed during the day also, and just shape p2p during business hours then i will keep paying R999

Well I phoned them on Friday and got this reply:
Just cancel the account in your Axxess control panel before the 25th of the month if you are paying via debit order or before the last day of the month if you are paying via ETF or CC.
I still think they are up 2 something and might give them a extra month. Plus also want to see how the other ISP's slow down when they get busy. Will make up my mind at the end of next month. I hate all this jumping around like a bunny when something new comes out. Burnt my fingers already with Digichilli. Moved back to Axxess ofter 1 week of crap speeds.
Hmmmm, interesting, maybe I should try that. I got one of those 1000 free trials from MWEB and even if the speed is for some reason half of what axxess is I still think it would be worth it even for just one month cos I'll only be paying R240 for a months uncapped.
