For the last 2 weeks my favorite provider axxess had very bad latency due to timeouts, I do feel violated when killed by alliance but even more so because of latency.

I'm now forced to play wow on a telkom account, since axxess really sucks.

Spoke to a support person who heard the word "***" probibly more that ever in one sentence. The reason he claimed was that they where switching to seacom. Now I don't care where you switch to but don't let latency or timeouts get me killed by alliance, it's like loosing rugby to Aus or NZ ... maybe worst.

Get your game up stop blaming the guy next door ....

Dude, we've just had a massive new undersea cable go live. If it takes a couple of weeks for things to settle down, and there are a few disruptions here & there because of it, deal with it. WoW isn't going anywhere - go spend some time in the real world for a change... ;)

I would like to know how exactly the Seacom cable is causing extremely bad latency on WoW as well...I mean, it's not as if local is affected, so it isn't inland.

So how does the new cable affect normal operations? It's not a fricking new highway being built and traffic congestion having to be factored in. It is a cable *independant* of our current system, it's not like we are using the SEACOM cable currently.

Only way I could see a problem is if they are busy switching servers over and that is where the congestion comes in. Then the big question is, why not do it after 12 at night when there is lower demand for the service? After all, it's not like the customer is getting a refund for bad service delivery, we are still paying for full service but we have had weeks of terrible internet and not a whole lot of transparency from the ISPs.

Latency IS Fibre Express

Hi

Ye i agree, first of all i would assume IS would do all the necessary tests etc before just changing over to Seacom Live.

Additionally surely axxess should advise clients of any changes on accounts

The Fibre express account is advertised as using Sat3/Safe so just let us know if there are to be any changes

Its seriously frustrating as the latency is a killer
