I just got a axxess 1GB ADSL account (voucher) to check if they are good or not. I tested it on Battlefield BC2 on a international and a iGame server.

I got about 140ms on the iGame server and around 500+ms on the international.

I then tested the account on WoW and got over 1900ms.

So far MWEB uncapped 512kb/s beats axxess by far, I got aprox. the same latency on BC2 and only 599ms in WoW.

Anyone who has an axxess account experiencing huge lag?

I have the axxess-lite 5Gb package and the 384 uncapped express account. Axxess-lite gives me 400-550 latency to a WoW EU server with random spikes to 1000+. The most concerning problem with this account is that it randomly disconnects to Axxess. My ADSL remains synched and I have to wait 15 secs for it to 'find' my ISP again. Axxess is of the opinion that it is due to port errors on my line and has nothing to do with them. However, on a Webafrica account I get a solid < 400 latency and never DC. The express account is only good for email and torrents. Performance on this account during the day is so poor that you can't even surf web pages. I am on a 4096 line.

I want to reiterate that which has been said before, phone 0800 375 375 (Telkom DSL) and ask for a port reset / recreate. Usually need to switch off router and back on

It has nothing to do with Telkom. I have recreated my port so many times it hurts. The problem is that Axxess shapes P2P so severely that World of Warcraft is unplayable during certain time slots. Between 7 and 12 you will find yourself sitting at 500ms, but after that it jumps to 1000+ till around 23:00 where it suddenly goes back to 500ms.

Won't work as I can instantly dial another ISP and get results that are 50% better or more, its not a telkom issue, its with axxess.

I dial my connection manually so no router reset is required anyway.
