I have been asked a question regarding Axxess Mobile data rollover which I couldn't answer, so I thought I'd ask here in case anyone else has a similar query.

If a user who signed up for a 2GB package in June decided to downgrade to a 1GB package as of July, but still had the full 2GBs remaining at the end of June, would the full 2GB be rolled over? Or would only 1GB be rolled over as a result of the downgrade?

In summary:

- User signs up for 2GB Mobile data in June, but doesn't us any of it.

- User decides to downgrade to 1GB effective 1 July and submits the request before the 24th of June.

Does the full unused 2GB of data for June roll over? I would assume the answer is yes, unless there is some sort of penalty put in place for downgrading.

Hi Totempole,
Depending on exactly when in June he signed up, he would have received Pro-Rata data. If he has not used any of his pro-rata data, all of the unused data will roll over to the next month.

Thanks for clearing that up. In this particular scenario the full 2GB was issued and about 50MBs of data was used in order to set up and test everything. She still has a Vodacom data bundle which she would like to use up first. Hence she will not be using the 2GB bundle this month, so the best option would be to downgrade to the 1GB or perhaps even the 500MB bundle for the time being.

Does anyone know if there is a Mobile Data bundle that one can use with an existing Vodacom contract? (I know you use the Axxess offering with MTN, but not able to find an equivalent for Voda)

Non as far as i know. Neotel once they complete their merger with Vodacom if it happens, might in future be able to provide this, unless Voda decides that its only FTTH and FTTB that they require from Neotel in terms of their infrastructure
